Is a Home Massage Chair Right for You?

Transition season is here! What do I mean? Well, it’s almost that time when the warm summer breeze slowly fades away into a cool brisk gust. Slowly but surely, we’ll start experiencing warm days with cold nights until the warm air practically disappears all together. Transition season can be a difficult time for picking outfits, as styling and day-to-night pieces become key. And transitional weather can also be one of the most brutal periods on your health if you’re not careful.

With back to school, less sunshine in our lives, and more meetings, the fall can quickly and easily become one of the most stressful seasons for everyone. I find that I tend to travel less in fall and find myself working more and more at my desk. As a writer, I hold all my tension in my shoulders, and the tension only grows worse as I work from home daily and see less and less travel and movement in my life.

What I’ve learned about myself, as someone who has experienced aches and pains from regular air travel, panic disorder from the stress of travel, and extreme tension and discomfort from regularly working at a computer, is that one of the greatest things you can do for your health is to get regular massages. After some major health issues in 2018, my doctor actually prescribed regular massages to me, and the difference getting frequent massages has made on my body was unbelievable. In fact, if I didn’t realize how wonderful it was for my health, I was reminded in 2020 when massage centers closed down and I was incapable of getting a massage for several months.

The benefits of regular massages include decreased stress and tension in the body, a happier, more relaxed mood overall, less pain in the shoulders and neck, and less headaches, as well. For me, regular massages really changed my overall health and immediately lightened my mood. But I can tell you firsthand that, especially if you are someone who travels a lot, regular massages can be hard to book. It’s likely you won’t have the time to step out monthly to get the care you need. If you find yourself super busy or unwilling to leave your house for one reason or another, then why not try an at-home massage chair?

The chairs at Medical Breakthrough are unlike any massage chairs I’ve tried before. They are catered to help you with your health! Because of this, they are very interactive with many different settings so you can choose the type of massage that’s best for what you need at any given time. There’s arm extensions to give you a nice arm massage, and the feet and calf sections of the chairs are my favorite part, as they give such a satisfying massage to your feet. But don’t take my word for it, you can read all about them here: https://www.medicalbreakthrough.com/malorie (and use the code Malorie for $50 off!)

Personally, I LOVE these massage chairs. If you’re someone who needs regular massages who can’t make a lot of time to go out and get a regular professional massage, then these chairs are perfect for you. They can help ease your mind while also providing much-needed relief to your body.

So, I hope you’re able to keep the stress out of your life as much as possible this transitional season. Be sure to take things one day at a time, focus on your health and what you need from time to time, and get regular massages however you’re able to as you need.
