Personal hygiene does not sound like an important aspect for men, but it is. Taking care of our bodies is the first thing we need to do before thinking of starting a life with someone else. Also, your personal hygiene will affect your health and the way you interact with other individuals around you. There are several tips for men’s personal hygiene tips that will guarantee you a healthy body and positive results

Wash your hands

The first tip is very obvious but a lot of men tend to forget. Washing your hands is a habit that should be practiced often as it keeps you clean and hygienic. This is because washing your hands keeps the bacteria from spreading around which can lead to infections especially when you have cuts or wounds on your hands. It also keeps bad odor from permeating your hands which can make them stronger and firm. Another reason why it is important to wash your hands after going to the bathroom or before eating is to keep from contaminating or spreading germs to other parts of the body.

Shower as often as possible

“The first step to obtaining and maintaining a healthy body is taking a shower,” says San Diego dermatologist Dr. Alan Logan. “Showering removes dirt and oil that can clog the skin and cause blemishes and body odor.”

Straight from the doctor’s mouth, showers should be a part of your daily routine, however frequent they need to be to make you feel clean again. Be sure to take your shower either in the morning or at night before you go to bed, as this will make it easier to maintain consistent personal hygiene habits throughout the day.

Brush your teeth daily

It is a no-brainer that brushing and flossing should be a part of your daily routine as it will effectively remove the food particles stuck in between your teeth and gums. You can also consider oil pulling that will help improve your oral hygiene.

The third tip is about beard oil. If you have a beard, you will know that it’s very important to keep it clean. To do so, you need a good brush, conditioner and of course beard oil, which will keep your beard soft and moisturized. It does not have to break the bank either – just choose one of our top products.

Wear a deodorant

Deodorants should be every man’s best friend. Men often get confused between getting a deodorant or an antiperspirant. Both products help with sweat but the main difference lies in how. Deodorant gets rid of the odor caused by sweating while antiperspirant prevents sweating. It is advisable to get a combination of both products.

Change your underwear

Any guy who uses the same pair of underwear for more than one day needs to have his masculine card revoked. If you are not in the habit of doing this, then set a timer on your phone to remind you when it’s time to change your drawers. Also, keep in mind the following:

1. clean underwear = less odor

2. Clean underwear = more confidence

3. Clean underwear = more comfort

4. Clean underwear = more attractive to the opposite sex. If this is your goal, then wear boxer briefs – but only when you are not expecting to see your significant other or if you are wearing loose-fitting trousers.

Practice full body grooming

Most men tend to avoid all body grooming for various reasons. Body grooming includes keeping nails and body hair short. Men should normalize manscaping and getting pedicures and manicures. It is healthy to get rid of unnecessary hair and nails or keep it short and clean all the time to avoid breeding bad odors and bacteria.

So what now, bro?

I hope you’ve picked up a few tips and tricks for improving your personal grooming regimen and hopefully my experience and anecdote might have even taught you a thing or two. But most importantly I hope this article has instilled in you the confidence to step out of the shower and start showing off your best self to the world. I’m glad we got to know each other a little better.

The best way to start taking care of yourself is to take care of your body, and that starts with taking care of the skin on the outside. Remember, if you take care of what’s on the outside, you’ll automatically take care of what’s on the inside.
