How to Get Bikini Ready


With summer right around the corner, you’re probably working on becoming bikini ready. Looking and feeling your best can at the pool or the beach boosts your self-esteem, causing you to have a great time this summer. 

But how do you get that bikini body you want? What do you need to do to prepare for swimsuit season?

If you want to hit the pool this summer, and you’re wondering how to get bikini ready and enjoy summer, here are five ways to start. 

1. Exercise and Eating Right

The first thing to do to get your bikini body is to exercise for at least 30 minutes five times a week. You want to start building muscle because muscle burns fat. 

Start with resistance training and cardio. Cardio burns fat, while resistance training builds muscle. Finding an exercise activity you like means you’re more likely to stick with it.

Don’t forget about diet changes. In order to build muscle, you’ll want to eat more protein and cut out sugary or high-calorie foods. Stick with whole foods like lean meats, vegetables, and complex carbohydrates to keep you full and away from excessive snacking. 

2. Hair Removal 

Shaving to remove hair is great if you’re in a hurry, but it can leave you with bumps and nicks that are no fun to show off at the beach. Investing in laser hair removal might be a better option, especially if you have sensitive skin that becomes irritated by shaving or waxing. 

3. Water In, Alcohol Out

Cutting out alcohol also cuts out empty calories because alcohol doesn’t provide any nutrition. The same is true for other sugary drinks like sodas. If you want to drink, aim for low-calorie alcohol, or don’t drink it at all. 

Stick with healthy and hydrating choices like water to fuel your body and fill you up. 

4. Healthy Skin

A summer body looks best in healthy skin. Skin cells regenerate leaving dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. This makes your skin appear dull and dingy. 

To promote healthy glowing skin, try a full-body exfoliation. Exfoliating gets rid of dead skin cells and allows new skin to resurface, giving you an all-over body glow. Don’t forget to moisturize for ultimate smoothness and to lock in moisture, and sunscreen at the beach!

5. Choose A Flattering Bikini

Your bikini body looks best in a bikini that flatters your body. You want to choose a bikini that shows off all the hard work you’ve done to tone up your body, so choose a bikini for your shape. 

Bodies come in a variety of shapes: apple, pear, hourglass, full bust, full, or lean. Once you find out your body type, you can shop for a bikini that looks great on you, and that you’re excited to wear.
