Hair Tutorial Inspired by Victoria’s Secret Angel Erin Heatherton

This hair tutorial is inspired by a VS Angel that we miss seeing on their runway: Erin Heatherton. Erin was a prominent face at Victoria’s Secret for five years before leaving in 2013 while dealing with body image issues after being told that she needed to lose weight. We understand her reasons for leaving, but we definitely missed seeing her face on the runway this year.

How to Get This Look:

Step 1: Apply Moisturizing Cream

Apply moisturizing cream over the entire head of hair. For this, I used Davroe’s Body Volume Texture.

Step 2: Brush Out the Hair

Brush out your hair after applying the moisturizing cream to it.

Step 3: Blow Dry the Hair

The moisturizing cream would have made your hair a little damp, so be sure to blow dry your hair so it is fully dry.

Step 4: Brush Out the Hair

Brush out all the tangles that came about while blow drying your hair.

Step 5: Apply Root Boosting Serum

Apply a root boosting serum or spray, which will lift your roots and allow you to tease your hair for more volume.

Step 6: Brush Out the Hair

Brush out your hair one final time so it is smooth after applying the root-boosting serum.

Step 7: Section, Spray, Brush, Curl, and Pin

Curl your hair away from your face with a 1.5” wand. Take individual sections and spray them. Then brush them out before curling. After you have curled a section, pin it in place.

Step 8: Blow Dry the Entire Head

Blow dry the completed head of pinned curls to set them.

Step 9: Set with Hairspray

Then hairspray the completed head of pinned curls to set them.

Step 10: Remove Pins, Spray, and Tease

Remove all of the pins from the hair, letting the hair fall. Spray the look and tease it up to the desired volume.

Step 11: Fine Tune the Look

Finally, tease the hair up again and make sure you have your desired part. For this look, we parted the hair in the center. Add any additional curls that you see fit.
