Are You Using The Right Acne Treatments?

Spot Treatment: This is an important one. Some people just think “I need to dry this out now!” and yes, you do need to dry it out, but you also need to kill bacteria, and prevent scarring. I love an Azulen paste and tea tree oil combo for this. I had a huge, horrible, and painful cyst on my chin, it hardly made a head, and I thought it was going to linger for a week or two at least. I washed my face, got out a wash cloth, ran it under the hottest water, rung it out, and sat the cloth on my chin to open up the pores. Then I dipped a cotton swab into tea tree oil (which kills bacteria and fungus) and rubbed that on the cyst, then a minute or two later when it was dried, I applied the Azulen paste with the other end of the swab. I repeated this twice daily, the second time before bed. Within three days, it was almost gone. No joke. I love this stuff because while it treated the acne, and killed the bacteria, it didn’t exactly dry out the surrounding skin, making it easier to conceal.

I moved to Los Angeles 7 years ago for music but ended up in fashion. That's just how things fall into place, sometimes! I had always been in front of the camera, but I felt like I would be better utilized behind it, so that's how my love for fashion started. I started styling celebrities for events, then editorials for magazines, and eventually, major AD campaigns. My primary focus now is being the brand ambassador for Fashionisers, sharing my knowledge with the world to help each person be the best, fashion-forward self they can be.
