Brigitte Bardot is so much more than just an actress, singer, and model. She was know in the 50’s and 60’s as being one of the most gorgeous, glamorous women of all time. While her status as a “sex symbol” lasted through the decades, her looks changed a bit with the style throughout the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. So, Katarina Van Derham created tutorials showcasing each of Bardot’s timeless looks. Be sure to watch all three below and tell us which look is your favorite of the three.
As a woman, there are certain things you want to do to maintain your aesthetic beauty, and like many of us out there, may not know exactly how. I’m sure quite a few of us need some quality instruction from time to time, and unfortunately, that can be hard to come by. We get tutorials on how to achieve certain looks, but not exactly a breakdown of very important steps that could really put a cramp in our beautification process. I’ve determined the four beauty skills that every woman should have, and I am letting you in on the instructions you’ve been missing!
Diana Veras is one of the many inspirational young models who break boundaries in the fashion industry. With only 21 years, Diana is already landing huge gigs and walking many runways. She has several campaigns with famous brands such as MAC Cosmetics, American Apparel, and Aerie. The model is a loud advocate for body positivity and encourages ladies to feel good about themselves. She’s been in the fashion business for quite a while, so she knows her way around makeup. That is why Allure invited her to do their easy challenge. Diana is accompanied by her two cats while she presents her five-minute beauty routine.
This 2017 was the year of many changes in the fashion world. Thanks to Ashley Graham as a living force of nature in the industry more women are getting the courage to love their bodies. Diana might be only 21, but she is on a good path to becoming the next It curvaceous model. Veras is followed by more than 277,000 people on Instagram. She uses social media as a platform to show that everyone is beautiful in their own way.
Veras rarely remembers the names of the products she uses, but sure has great makeup tips. You will also notice that she loves using one product for several different needs. Her best tools for this easy routine are her hands. The gorgeous Afro-Hispanic model starts by applying a base for her makeup. Diana loves when her face is moisturized and dewy. The next step is the foundation. A lot of the makeup artists who work with her, tell Veras not to apply foundation first, but she does that anyway. And we must admit that the model’s skin still looks flawless. Don’t forget to also apply on your neck, to even everything out.
Once she is done with that, the next step is to highlight. It seems that everyone is obsessed with glowing, natural-looking skin. For the eyes, Veras uses a bronzer palette instead of eyeshadow. One of her best hacks is to apply a little bit of highlighter in the inner corners of your eyes. The finishing touches include blush, mascara, brushing the eyebrows and lip gloss.
At the end, the gorgeous model finishes the tutorial in 6 minutes and 16 seconds. But it’s all good considering the fact that her adorable cats got in the way and diverted her attention. So, you can’t blame her for getting distracted.
All these gorgeous girls on Instagram with glowing skin and flawless makeup seem to doll up for hours. With the tight schedule, more and more women have these days is not easy to find time for such a high maintenance routine. On the other hand, the holiday season is just around the corner. All these beauty gurus are flaunting glamorous looks that you are just craving to recreate. Not to mention the holiday glitter-packed collections and the sales that are going on. Everything is just so inviting and appealing. Well, if you don’t have the time or don’t want to spend hours to get ready the Instagram sensation Jasmine Sanders better known as Golden Barbie got you covered. She has a holiday-approved insanely gorgeous makeup look you can copy in just minutes. Bonus: No makeup tools were involved in the making of this video!
First of all, let’s talk about Jasmine’s radiant skin. We can’t say if her skin a result of multiple steps skincare routine or just genetics. Anyway, with so many value sets on the market now is probably the right time of the year to upgrade your skincare routine.
Now let’s move on Golden Barbie’s golden makeup look because we just can’t ignore how gorgeous it is! Well, you must have noticed that sparkly moment on her eyelids. We can’t say it’s glitter since the texture is a lot finer. It’s not shimmer as well-no shimmery eyeshadow on the market is so so sparkly. It’s a formula courtesy of the legendary makeup artist Pat Mc Grath. We have waited for so long for Pat to release her makeup line, but the wait was worth it. The makeup artist came up with outstanding products such as this insanely pigmented gold eyeshadow. To be honest, the price tag isn’t something that will make you smile. But as you can see in the video this product is worth every penny. If anything, Jasmine claims that “a little bit of product goes a very long way.”
Jasmine uses her fingers to distribute the eyeshadow all over her eyelids. Then she applies several coats of mascara by wiggling the brush at the roots to curl her lashes. For every additional product used in this look, Golden Barbie uses her fingers to apply it. She just tests the products on the top of her hand first to see how they would look on her face (smart!) and then applies them as usual. Don’t forget to watch the video to see what else she uses for this glamorous but easy holiday makeup look.
The year of goat is gradually coming to its end, yielding its positions to funny and playful monkey, which means that along with doing shopping, selecting delicious recipes for new dishes, planning the exterior and interior decorations of your house, you are also so very much keyed up about your own festive appearance. Deciding upon what jaw-dropping dress you will be wearing and what shoes you will match it with is not yet sufficient. No less important is your party makeup look, which should be in keeping with the holistic Christmas atmosphere. Glittering Christmas wreaths and garlands, iridescent playful lights and sparkling snowflakes falling down are just demanding that you follow our Christmas glitter makeup tutorial that will make you just another stunning decoration for the holidays.
Our step-by-step tutorial will lead you to crazy and unique color combinations. Your face will become that very canvas to synthesize cognac brown with metallic blue shades, while the words “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!’ will sound with a lot more magnificence while uttered from those ultra-pink matte-effect lips. So if you are really in the mood to go all festive and glittering for the upcoming Christmastime, here is what products you should put into use and what steps you should take to come up as a glittering princess:
• Makeup primer, foundation
• Eyebrow pencil
• Eyelid primer
• Gel eyeliner in black and deep green
• Eyeshadows in matte orange soda, burned orange brown, cognac and soft gold
• Metallic blue pigment
• Black mascara
• False eyelashes
• Ultra pink lipstick
• Makeup brushes
Step 1: In winter when your skin is under the risk to get frostbitten and gives birth to some red spots quite often, you need to cover all your face with protective and enlightening foundation over your favorite primer, while a golden glow on your cheeks will drop a hint that Christmas time is on.
Step 2: So as to make your eyebrows look super polished and even and to make them a wee bit bushy just in consonance with the extravagant makeup trend of 2016, contour them with an eyebrow pencil (Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Ebony). Pass to your eyelids covering them with an eyelid primer (Too Faced Shadow Insurance) creating a basis for flawless eye makeup.
Step 3: Start the process of making your eyes look like realistic fire flames by pulling together all the brown-orange shades. Primarily, apply a light matte eyeshadow (Orange Soda from ABH) to the high crease of your lid, afterwards a little bit lower in the crease apply a matte burned orange brown eyeshadow (Sienna from ABH). Finally, apply a cognac eyeshadow (Cognac from ABH) all over the lid, that way once more emphasizing your flaming mood.
Step 4: Make your eyes more impressive by applying a black eyeliner gel using a small brush (Sigma Wicked Gel Eyeliner and E06 Brush). Make a very thin line across the roots of your lashes and create a wing at the outer corner of your eye. Do not stop here, extend the line reaching the lower lash line and stop it half way.
Step 5: Now it is high time to make your lower eyelids also glitter in all their glory. Apply a soft gold eyeshadow (Surface of the Sun from ABH) to the first part of your lower lid, going ahead and covering the whole lower eyelid with the same cognac eyeshadow. A blue metallic pigment (Inglot Stardust pigment #113) applied to the inner corner of the eye will wholly enlighten your look giving you some electrified vibes.
Step 6: Every time an eyeliner gel used is other than black, we want to look at it over and over again. The same will happen with your guests when they see the deep green gel eyeliner on your eyes. Apply this exotic shaded gel eyeliner and extend the line under the black winged eyeliner, so that the wing becomes an effective amalgam of black-green.
Step 7: To give your eyes a wide-open look apply a few layers of black mascara on your lashes and if you are aspiring to give them some extra volume and thickness, you can use false eyelashes (House of Lashes in Iconic).
Step 8: What is left to you now is to add the finishing and the most vibrant touch to your whole Christmas glitter makeup. Coat your lips with an electric pink lipstick (this is optional) and brighten up not only the atmosphere but also the spirits of others.

Step 1: Fall is when your skin needs a particular care and a slightly lighter foundation to cover your face camouflaging any skin flaws. Apply it over your favorite makeup primer and add a golden glow to your cheeks using a lovely blush color.
Step 2: Bold, bushy eyebrows are all the rage now. Cara Delevingne and Lilly Collins are a case in point and the spring 2016 RTW runway shows came to once more prove us that bold eyebrows may become one of your powerful weapons for a gorgeous look. So keep pace with the time and contour your eyebrows using brown pomade (ABH Dipbrow Pomade in Ebony), thickening them naturally and making them softly polished. Then apply an eye primer on your lids to make them super-smooth for your further perfect metallic eye makeup.
Step 3: Now that you have created an ideal basis, continue the process by applying brown gel eyeliner (Atelier Paris Eyeliner in Brown) as close to your lash line as you can, creating a tiny faded wing. To make it more eloquent apply a black eyeshadow (Noir from ABH) on top of the gel liner and blend it with a neutral brown (Fawn from ABH).
Step 4: Start bringing a real flirting game of brown shades on your eyelid. In the high crease apply a light caramel brown eyeshadow (Salted Caramel from Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette), and then complement it with a darker brown shade (Semi Sweet from the same palette) applied a little bit lower in the crease. To add some glow to your naturally brown eyelid apply a light gold eyeshadow (Surface of the Sun from ABH) to the inner corner of your eye and right under the brow.
Step 5: The time for metallic eyes has finally approached to give your whole look some electrified strokes. Pass to your mobile eyelid coating it with metallic rose champagne eyeshadow (Pink Champagne from ABH) applying with a wet brush for extra shine. Keep on showing off your artistic skills by creating a wing on your upper lash line with blue eyeliner (Ocean Waterproof Cream Colour from ABH) gently uniting it with the faded wing of the lower lash line. The effect is just scene-stealing ” high-wattage electricity fiercely running across the lid.
Step 6: Apply black mascara for pushing up your lashes and magnifying your penetrating and cutting look, afterwards using false lashes (Red Cherry #43 lashes) for extra volume and density.
Step 7: Finally finish off your autumnal metallic makeup by coating your lips with a nude dark mauve lipstick (Veronica liquid lipstick from ABH) to make them full and fruity and hotfoot it out of your home to saunter among crunching multicolored leaves.
