I never saw myself as the camel colored button down blouse and linen skirt kinda girl, but every now and again you have to step outside your comfort zone. I tried on this outfit and was pleasantly surprised. This summer look was easy to throw together, and also easy to find similar looks to match different vibes. Check out my look plus a couple of others below and click to shop this outfit of the week.
Jumpsuits are pretty much a good idea any time of the year. It literally takes half of the effort out of putting together an outfit, and when you are pinched for time, or just don’t want to put too much thought into what to wear, a jumpsuit can be a fashion hero. Another bonus is that most of them are pretty comfy and you can dress them up down, or whichever way you are feeling. I have a section of my closet dedicated to jumpsuits, I have super comfy and casual ones, super dressy ones, and then some that are somewhere in between. This look is focusing in on jumpsuits that are flooding the instagram pages of fashion bloggers. Summer friendly ones that have all the cuteness.
Who doesn’t love a good vintage skirt, and a rainbow striped one at that? I purchased this skirt on Etsy last year and really could not wrap my head around how anyone would let it go! I have waited for the right time to wear it and I feel considering it’s pride month, now is the perfect time. If you plan on attending any of the festivities this month, check out these pieces I have found below that will have you very appropriately outfitted for the occasion.
I have begun to see denim more and more in stores. I use to not care for a complete denim look very much, If I can be honest here, I use to think an all denim look was just bland looking. Lately I have seen what I would almost call a”rebirth of denim” as it’s being made into more feminine lines and silhouettes, and all around more flattering designs, giving the trend a softer feel. I picked up this cute little denim dress with ruffle sleeves and thought “I think I can do this”. So I tried it on and felt… well, cute! So I have found a similar dress, amongst a few other trendy denim pieces that are worth giving a try. As always, I have taken the work out of it for you and coordinated the whole outfit so that all you have to do is click and wait for the arrival. You’re welcome.
One of my favorite spring styles is the dark romance style. It’s channeling so many of my favorite people and things. A little goth, contradicted with a little innocence, Saint Laurent, meets Stevie Nicks, bohemian meets western. There are plenty of ways you can describe this kind of look, but it certainly has a romantic vibe to it, and I love the natural-looking effortlessness of it, and how feminine and pretty it makes me feel. While shooting this look, I actually spun and danced around in circles singing “Rhiannon”. So maybe if you are planning to attend a music festival this Spring or Summer, this is a great look for that as well! I got a very similar dress in white as well and will for sure be wearing one of the two to a festival. Below you can shop my look along with pieces of a similar vibe to customize your own dark romantic look.
Suits of all colors and styles have been popping up everywhere, but one thing is for certain, pink suits have never been more in. When I saw the first pink suit make an appearance earlier in the year I drooled, and then when I went to purchase it, it was sold out. After lots of effort and determination, I found it. Then found another, and then another and this week, God willing, I found my last. Yes, I have 4 pink suits. I am not good at making fashion purchase decisions. I justified it with “well this one is high waisted”, “this one is a lighter pink and not high waisted”, ” this one has lapels and the other does not”, and now, “this one is a very laid back summer fit, and has long, wide legged pants.”
Dainty, romantic, feminine, fabrics and prints have never been more in, and there has never been a better time for summertime sets. We are seeing them everywhere, from high end labels, to more cost efficient brands, there is sure to be a set for everyone and every budget. My favorite name behind this current trend is Aussie line, Zimmerman. In my opinion they are the leaders in the romantic vibe fashion game, and their pieces are for sure a huge inspiration behind my choice when achieving this look. Below I have narrowed down my favorite sets (out of hundreds) that make me swoon.
I know a lot of you are jumping for joy about the events taking place over the next few months. There are oodles of music festivals in our near future, starting with Coachella this weekend and next. This week’s outfit of the week is my version of “Coachella style” or any music festival style for that matter. I love wearing bell bottoms and flare jeans to festivals, so that’s what I always start planning my outfit around. Then I always add something fun up top that moves well when I dance, so it’s either something with fringe or something long, flowy, and chiffon. Then I pile on the accessories, (as this is one place where it’s ok to do that), throw some braids in my hair, and stars on my face, and I’m ready to go. Here are some pieces I found for you that are similar to my look above. Have all the fun and tag us in pics of your festival looks!
What was once favorited by clowns, is now favorited by trendsetters and street style gurus everywhere. Mixing patterns is the new thing. Shocked? So was I a bit, but when I tried it, I actually really liked it! Below I am showing you how to create a version of my look, plus some other great ways to mix patterns for whatever the occasion may be. Im my photo I am carrying a bag from BOYY. It’s my new favorite brand of handbags and quickly growing as a favorite in the fashion world as well. It’s a bit of a splurge, but if you don’t mind spending the extra dough on a good bag that goes with almost everything you own, I highly suggest this be the one. It comes in lots of color and size options, including the clutch version that is featured in theist look of this article.
Festival season is here and so are all the fun clothes. I personally believe that some attend festivals just to have a good excuse to dress up. Since there are plenty of examples of how to dress for the actual festival, I thought I would give you an idea of an appropriate look for an after party. Being in the desert at 4 am in teeny shorts and a tank is not exactly warm, luckily you can still keep the festive vibe and party going til the sun comes up with these pieces.
