How to Style Bow Hair Braids
The most important factor for achieving bow braids is to have long hair. In case you have medium hair, we suggest using clip-in hair extensions.
Brush your hair smoothly and bring it to one side. Take a small section of hair and divide it into four equal strands, trying to create regular four-strand braids. The technique is very simple. You need to take strand number one and bring it under strand two and three to the right. Then reverse the direction and bring it over strand three to the left. Now, grab strand four, pass it behind strand two and strand three to the left and then over strand two to the right. Carefully repeat the steps until you have your four-strand braid completely done. As you finish it, pull the edges of the braid to make it bigger and chicer. Secure the tail of the braid with an elastic band.
Surely for the bow braid, you can also do a regular three-strand braid, however, a four-strand one makes a more reliable base for the bow braid, besides it looks more luxurious.
Now, we have reached the bow braiding part, for which you need a regular U-shaped hair pin. Insert the bobby pin into your braid. Take a small section of the loose hair, make a loop with it and slip it into the bobby pin. You can make the loop as big as you want your bow braid to be. Then just pull the hair pin back, bringing the half of the loop to the other side of your braid. Arrange the bow and continue doing this, until you reach the end of your braided tail.
As you see styling a bow braid isn’t something too difficult. You just need to move your fingers more masterfully to get a uniform look. Give it a try today and surprise your friends with your new one-of-a-kind hairstyle!

On the days when you seem to no longer have ideas for creative hairstyling, braids can be the best remedies! It’s hard to ever get tired of braided hairstyles, since they always look fun, innovative and feminine, capable of injecting a romantic and innocent touch to your daily and special occasion looks. And we definitely can’t underestimate the beauty and luxury of fishtail braids, which despite their complicated and fab look are extremely easy to style. Today, we suggest incorporating two braided styles into one single chic updo that is sure to make heads turn! Have a nosey at the gorgeous double crown braid tutorial featuring an ordinary French braid and a fishtail one!
To style a double crown braided updo with two styles of braids, you’ll need some elastic bands, bobby pins and a little practice in plating braids. Start on clean hair. Split the hair into two equal parts and curl it with a curling iron to give extra texture to the final look. Now, divide the two parts of the hair into other two halves and start braiding an ordinary French braid above your ear. When you finish braiding it, secure the tail with an elastic band and gently pull the edges for making it bigger and fluffier. Bring the first braid above your head and pin it with some bobby pins. Repeat the same process on the other side of the head.
As you are done with the ordinary French braids, it’s time to be more creative and style fishtail braids. Take the remaining half of your hair from one side of the head and divide it into two equal parts. Take a small strand of hair from the outer side of the right part and cross it to the left side. Afterwards, take a small strand of hair from the outer part of the left part of the hair and bring it to the right side. You have to repeat the same action, until you get the complete fishtail braid. This is a little bit more time-consuming process. As you get your first fishtail braid, repeat the same process on the other remaining half of the hair. When you have both the fishtail braids, gently pull the edges for a more textured look and bring them above your head, securing them in the place with bobby pins.
Your double crown braided updo with French and fishtail braids is done! Wear it to work, to a party or just every day to look more polished and feminine!

The best hair texture for the style will be thick hair. So if you don’t have such hair, it will be good to try out adding a few layers of hair extensions to make the style more effective. Then you can go with fingers teasing your hair for more volume.
You start separating four strands of hair. Three of the strands will be used for making a regular-like strand, while the forth one will be left on the side. The first three strands should be made into a regular French three-strand braid. But with every step you need to leave a small section from the strand that goes to the right. You need to make the braid all the way to the end securing it with an elastic band. When done making the braid, you should try loosening the strands of hair with fingers to make the braid look fuller. This will also add a more elegant look to the braid.
After you’re done with the first braid, you need to divide the left section of hair into three small strands and start making another regular braid. This braid will be attached to the first one with a nice trick. When you reach the level of the first braid, you will have to add the leftover small sections of hair to the middle strand of the new braid. Just make sure that you get the section tightly attached to the middle section so that there will be no gap between the first and second braids. As a final result you will get two interrelating braids.
Another variation for the hairstyle will be the combination of a typical braid and twisted braid. You start up creating the same type of first braid leaving small section from the right strand. The left forth section should be divided into two sections, which need to be first twisted away from the face and then twisted with each other. Reaching the leftover small sections, you will have to add the small sections to your twists. First you should add it to the first twist, then with the second one. Similar to the first option, you need to make the connection of the braids as tight as possible to avoid gaps in between. This time you will get a braid with interrelated twist.
Both braided hairstyles are stylish and appealing, you just need to choose the one fitting your personal taste.
