Everyone knows that once you walk in Target, you won’t come out empty-handed. The retailer is now making your shopping experience even better with the upcoming releases. Target’s representatives confirmed that the department store is launching three new brands. This has been an amazing year for them, with many updates especially in the clothing and makeup sections. Thanks to the new innovations, the retailer is trying to deliver more diverse and inclusive products, so that every customer can find what they’re looking for.
Madewell is the latest fashion label to follow the efforts for inclusivity in the industry. This is one of the many brands that decided to extend their size range and become a part of the revolutionary movement. It is a very important time for beauty and fashion, with the new diversity changes falling into place. It all started at the beginning of 2018 when this brand actually extended a part of their denim designs up to a size 35. But thankfully, they didn’t stop there. Now they have even bigger news to announce.
The fashion industry in 2018 is going through more changes than ever. And it’s all for the better. Inclusivity and diversity are becoming a priority for fashion houses, both fast fashion, and luxury ones. J. Crew is the go-to label for many ladies of different ages. This trending brand is always offering affordable fashion-forward pieces. Now, J. Crew has some amazing news to share. They teamed up with Universal Standard to release a women’s collection with sizes ranging up to 5X. Customers asked for it, and they are getting it!
The cult American label Reformation is finally expanding its size range. The brand has done a good job so far to be kind to the environment and speak to different groups of customers including petite ladies and babies. The petite and baby sizes are already part of Reformation’s offerings, but somehow the brand failed to cater to plus-size customers until now. Reformation apologized for not offering plus-sizes in a press release as well as on its Instagram account:
“Last year we started receiving a lot of comments on social media and requests from customers for more inclusive sizing,” We agree it’s unfair that we only offer clothing to a limited size range and have been working on changing this. We’re now happy to be launching a collection with more sizes (0-22). We’re super sorry we didn’t do it sooner.”
However, the first ever Reformation collection that comes in an extended size range is not part of the brand’s regular offerings. For now, this is just a limited edition line in partnership with model Ali Tate Cutler. With this collection, the brand wants to pave its way towards inclusivity. This collection will help the brand in making its main line more size-inclusive. The new customers are welcome to give their honest opinion about the plus-size pieces. Reformation hopes that this will help them in delivering styles that the plus-size customers need and love to wear.
For now, the collection includes 17 pieces in Reformation’s signature aesthetic. There are plenty of playful dresses with a vintage vibe, similar to those you might have seen on the brand’s Instagram account. If you were in love with Reformation’s staples, but couldn’t find your size, now is the time to shop. The 17-piece size-inclusive line is already available on TheReformation.com, with prices ranging from $78 to $218. The prices are on the affordable side, considering Reformation’s efforts to produce fashionable pieces with minimal negative impact on the environment. Sustainability is in the brand’s DNA.
Besides Reformation’s sustainable practices, the brand has made other inclusive collections in the past. Prior to making their line petite-friendly, Reformation has launched a collection specially designed for women with fuller busts.
Model Ali Tate Cutler appears in the campaign for her collaborative collection with Reformation. The campaign follows the brand’s cute and vintage style. In the campaign shots, Ali Tate Cutler models different styles of dresses from an adorable red mini dress with ruffles, chic off-the-shoulder gingham number to simple V-neck green midi dress.
Reformation hasn’t given any details when its regular offerings will start to sell in an extended size range. At least we know that a more size-inclusive Reformation is in the works. For now, fans of the brand can enjoy the limited-edition collaboration with Ali Tate Cutler.

Reese Witherspoon’s lifestyle apparel brand, Draper James is officially extending their size range. The Southern-inspired brand teamed up with the plus-size fashion house on creating an exclusive capsule. Their latest collaborator is Eloquii, a retailer founded four years ago that carries sizes between 14 and 28. The two brands partnered up on a 30-piece collection that features both clothing and accessories.
According to Witherspoon, she decided to make her brand more inclusive thanks to her fans. The actress shared that her brand’s customers often asked for larger sizes of Draper James’s collections. Her customers kept sending messages on social media, so she decided to answer in the best way possible. Reese is a fierce supporter of female empowerment, diversity, and inclusivity in all industries. So expanding the size range is a great step forward.
“My entire life has been spent making movies and talking about the inclusion of all women. So this just made natural sense to me. But I quickly realized that it is such an intensive process and one which required expertise. I didn’t want to just do it myself and not do it well. I wanted to do research and find the people who are the best at doing this, [the people who] make women feel great and don’t talk down to them.’- Reese explained.
The limited-edition capsule includes a total of 30 pieces, all ranging between $75 and $225. It features all the essentials a trendy girl needs for the upcoming spring days. Reese and Eloquii offer dresses, tops, cute shorts, jumpsuits, skirts, accessories and more. The collection is focused on pieces with vibrant colors and fun prints. Just like many times before, Draper James involved their favorite patterns, including floral blooms, colorful stripes, gingham and more.
Reese is a known lover of vibrant hues when it comes to the color palette. You can often see her flaunting super-cute dresses in yellow, blue, orange and other bold hues. Her red carpet style is also full of striking dresses colored in bright tones. Once again Draper James decorated their designs with witty slogans such as “Totes Y’all’, “Bless Your Heart’ and more.
This is not the first collaboration for Draper James. So far, Reese’s brand has partnered with the popular e-retailer Net-a-Porter on an exclusive collection and with Crate & Barrel on a home goods line. The Draper James x Eloquii capsule is already available to shop. Check out the full range at Eloquii stores, eloquii.com, draperjames.com, and also for rent at renttherunway.com. Reese also pointed out that these three are female-led companies, which makes the whole collaboration even better.

Ashley Graham is one of the biggest ambassadors of body positivity at the moment. The beautiful model inspired millions of women around the world to fight their insecurities and love their bodies the way they are. Her goal is to empower women of all sizes and ages to feel comfortable in their own skin. Just recently she decided to help four women get their self-confidence back. Take a look at the emotional video that made Ashley Graham cry! The model shows real women how to pose in lingerie and helps them understand how beautiful they are.
When it comes to lingerie, Ashley has many successful lines with the Canadian brand Addition Elle. Her first collaboration with the brand was in 2014. Since then the model has designed more than 15 successful lingerie collections. Besides lingerie, Ashley has designed wonderful swimsuits in partnership with Swimsuits For All. This summer we witnessed beautiful women of all sizes flaunting their curves in Ashley’s bathing suits. Graham inspired thousands of women to wear her designs with confidence.
Ashley constantly fights against the society’s standards of beauty and encourages women to accept their flaws and embrace them. The supermodel uses every opportunity to publically speak about body image and body acceptance. In the past, she has also spoken in high schools and is part of the Health at Every Size movement.
For the gorgeous Ashley Graham, the size is not the limit. She has appeared on the cover of prestigious fashion magazines such as Vogue, Glamour, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar. Ashley was also the first ever plus-size model that posed for Sports Illustrated.
There is no doubt that Ashley will continue to inspire women to change the way they feel about their insecurities. The video is just one example of the great impact that Ashley Graham has on women around the world.
Teresa Maccapani Missoni is launching a plus-sized collaboration collection with Eloquii for summer, and it’s all about providing more women with more choices. Particularly those in the community of women who aren’t given the same fashion options because they aren’t the same size.
“I wanted to give this community an elevated and beautiful product that was designed especially for them,” she told Vogue.
Teresa Missoni is part of the Missoni brand dynasty, with her mother, Angela, as the standing creative director. She hasn’t designed much in the industry, but has always been involved in her family brand, if only as a source of inspiration.
But when Eloquii, which focuses on larger sizing, brought the opportunity to work on a new collection, she jumped on the chance to bring her colorful and carefree wardrobe into it. She told Vogue she wore a lot of maxi-length styles and wanted to bring that comfortable and free-flowing style to the collection, which consists of 24 pieces.
A white crocheted top is super airy, with two seashells as the only true cover, right over the breasts (Little Mermaid style!). There are sketches of mermaids and tropical fish mixed into the prints as well. These whimsical aspects brought in a fun spirit, and the print options were just what we’d expect to bring it all together as a classic summer collection.
Besides the fish and mermaids, Missoni also sketched coral and brought in blue paisley for a tropical beach experience. She said a crucial point in the collection’s creation was focusing on the quality of textiles as they related to summer instead of just the prints and shapes of the garments.
“I knew I wanted to use natural fibers alongside embellished details and beautiful patterns,” she said.
Choosing high-quality textiles brings Missoni’s collection to a new level apart from other plus-sized lineups. It’s luxury fashion with a pricepoint that stays true to Eloquii’s contemporary business style.
More designers are extending to include more sizes than in the past, but it’s still not common for them to move beyond designing basics. It creates an imbalance where some basics are not practical in larger sizes due to textiles or other design principles; women often have to choose between a cute design or something practical.
Missoni is doing away with that stereotype with her new collection. Granted, some of the clothes ” like the seashell crocheted top and other bold-colored options ” are a bit on the daring side, but all it takes is a bit of confidence to truly pull off. And that’s just how she wants it.
“I wanted my collection to inspire women to feel confident, powerful and ” above all ” to give them lots of options.”

Dubbed “Urban Scenes’, the brand new Violeta by Mango spring/summer 2017 collection is so variegated and eclectic, you will be spoiled for a choice. Mango‘s plus size fashion pieces for spring are already available on Mango.com and at Mango stores, so curvy beauties already have their style cravings covered for the upcoming warmer season.
Casual yet always cutting-edge, Violeta by Mango’s spring 2017 collection is filled with proposals for any taste, as well as with style choices aplenty to show off from Monday to Sunday. Colorful and mostly jocose, the collection also features clothing pieces to channel on a night out with friends, meaning that whoever needs a wardrobe makeover just in time for spring, heading to the closest Mango shop could be the best idea.
One of the best parts of this collection is that each one of the garments can be combined and mixed and matched with the others, accessories included. The first thing that one may notice while browsing through the line-up’s proposals is that both jewelry pieces and accessories, such as bags and shoes, play a huge role in the collection, too, as they not only revamp the minimalist lines of most of the garments, but also evoke cheerful springy vibes indeed. Belts cinched at the waists, chokers, ankle boots and loafers are the key elements one cannot miss when thinking about the perfect spring 2017 outfit, and Violeta by Mango definitely knows that.
The Violeta by Mango spring 2017 collection got infused mainly with minimalist touches, which at times got layered upon one another. Flared and peplum cuts, loads of pleats and cascades of ruches play a huge role in the collection too, and got highlighted in their ethereal simplicity with soft colors, such as light blue and pink.
Although urban minimalism is what this collection revolves around most, Violeta by Mango managed to translate it to a more tropic-inspired theme too, here filtered through equally soft color (except for a few pops of bright yellow), and relaxed lines. Floral patterns dominate here, creating an inspiring contrast with the Vichy patterns of most of the tops that many will surely fall in love with.
Culottes, bomber jackets, blouses with tactic cut-outs on the shoulders and hippy-chic floor-length frocks spice up the collection with a free-spirited touch, letting us feel a spring floral smell in the air already.
Last but not least, it is also worth-mentioning how carefully the Violeta by Mango spring 2017 collection makes sure denim is not left out, treating us to everything from denim skirts to shredded jeans.

Plus-size model Candice Huffine is back on track with another partnership with Violeta by Mango, the Spanish retailer’s department that specializes in curvy fashion wear. This time around, the Spanish brand took Huffine to the beach to showcase the Violeta by Mango swimwear 2016 designs, which are closely linked to the latest Candice Huffine x Violeta by Mango spring 2016 campaign, both in terms of the overall style and the colorful sun-drenched outcome. By posing for both the campaigns, Huffine managed to show us how to sport a head-to-toe cozy and affordable outfit during the current springtime and the forthcoming beach season.
Still, the collections slightly differ from one another: while the spring 2016 campaign was shot in Mallorca, Spain, and definitely is more party/festival-like, the Violeta by Mango swimwear 2016 campaign takes us to the French Riviera, channeling the best late-Sixties-inspired looks one can pull off. From one-piece swimsuits to plus-size bikinis, from relaxed kimonos to airy cover-ups, the collection features all things stylish and beach-ready one needs to pack up and take along for the long-awaited summer escape. All the designs could be worn either while sunbathing in Provence, or singing by a bonfire in Mallorca, where the ‘dress code’ usually favors coziness over elegance.
The collection is all about vibrant and bold prints, which vary from geometric retro patterns to delicate flowery designs, meant to be worn either with contrasting prints or solid-colored cover-ups and denim shirts. Candice is often seen gracefully layering denim shirts over flowery bikinis in the campaign, and the results are absultely stunning especially when completed with a wavy, au naturel hairstyle like hers.
A monochromatic coral bikini and a bright pastel blue one seem to inspire us to have fun and go for a perfectly mix-and-matched look, while the edgy striped ponchos and coral cover-up with boho tassel embellishments will encourage anyone to never give up on style, as well as one’s personal sense of fashion, while chilling and reading a book under the beach umbrella.
Dark green bikinis (which either feature a monochrome or a camouflage motif) will enhance the sunbathed skin tone, while the total-black proposals add a sophisticated touch of sensuality taking the collection to another level. Just in case going total-black is too simplistic for you, the collection offers a few elegant black lace embroidered cardigans, not to mention the ethnic-inspired statement jewelry pieces, which will complete any total-black look with some effortlessly chic vibes.
Finally yet importantly, those who are looking for more daytime kind of cover-ups can always count on one of Mango’s hallmarks ” a flowing embroidered oversized white cardigan that just goes along well with basically any kind of swimwear look!
