Johor Darul Ta’zim certainly has a fighting chance of going far in the 2026/27 AFC Champions League Elite edition. This was built last year when they were quarter-finalists for the first time after a tough fight against Al Ahli Saudi, winning the game 2-1. This proves they could compete with top Asian teams rather than just trying to hold their own.
