Madewell is the latest fashion label to follow the efforts for inclusivity in the industry. This is one of the many brands that decided to extend their size range and become a part of the revolutionary movement. It is a very important time for beauty and fashion, with the new diversity changes falling into place. It all started at the beginning of 2018 when this brand actually extended a part of their denim designs up to a size 35. But thankfully, they didn’t stop there. Now they have even bigger news to announce.
Madewell is the next brand to step into the foray of intimate apparel and duke it out with other brands by providing their own options. Comfort and well-planned details were at the forefront of the efforts to create the Madewell Intimates collection, though this is no surprise as these are definite trademarks of the brand. Everything about the Madewell Intimates spring 2017 line is designed to compete with the current market, and all those delicate pieces are already available for purchase on Madewell.com.
The fabrics are a custom dream designed with thoughts of what is best for the customer in mind. The pieces are interesting, definitely cute and fit right in line with not only the wearability of the Madewell brand, but also the comfort level. It was very important for the brand to create the right blend of comfort and design to make it not only easy, but also feasible to wear their intimate’s options. There are cute and well-placed peekaboo cut outs, a sexy and chic aesthetic that makes these options interesting without qualifying them as intimidating lingerie.
The Madewell lingerie designs are not intimidating in the least and that is a real gift – Madewell has created a line of intimates that are not too sexy but not in any way boring either. Joyce Lee, the Head of Design for Madewell has said that the intimate line heavily features the Madewell Aesthetic in their new ‘foundation pieces’ that are perfect for day to day wear.
According to Joyce, “It was an organic process stemming from what the girls in our office were looking for. We really took into consideration who our customer is and what she’s looking for from us.” It is nice to see where this went as the collection seems cute, chic and fun, just like most of Madewell best products, so it is easy to predict that the Madewell Intimates line will do very well.
Madewell developed their own cotton modal, mesh and lace for the Madewell Intimates collection with the intent to have ultra durable, supportive and most of all comfortable under garments for their first line of intimates. The amount of thought that went into the options they are providing for their customers extended into the battle for comfort for all body types and accommodation for different sizes.
Apparently Madewell has decided that the sizes will run from XS to L rather than adhering to the standard cup sizes, but they expect that their research into catering to different body types and creating customer support fabrics and patters will help.
According to Joyce Lee, “the approach to intimates is a mix of form and function. She looks to us to give her pieces that are versatile, unfussy, simple and well-designed and in a minimal, effortless way. We’ve been looking for ways to expand into [our shopper’s] lifestyle; we’re extending what we already offer her in her wardrobe and these are pieces that she’ll start her everyday dressing with.”

Madewell’s spring 2017 lookbook is stylish and fun from every angle for every ensemble. Though the weather outside is not quite frightful, it definitely is not at the point where we could sport anything from the collection comfortably, but we can still plan. The aesthetic is youthful, fun and offers a surprisingly cool reminder of what trends we never really wanted to give up. Shorts with button-down, ankle-revealing pants and tees and lots of sunglasses and accessories are some of the pieces you can already get rom Madewell.com.
The entire lookbook has an effortless feel to it, meaning that anyone can wear the clothes without the pressure of wondering “Am I ___enough to pull this off?” Everything looks effortlessly chic from the fun earrings and sunglasses to the variety of sandals and low-top shoes. These are the clothes for your daily life, the perfect additions that bulk up a wardrobe and they are easily adjusted, dressed up or down as needed and sure to gain a lot of compliments when out and about.
A very cute wraparound skirt paired with a slightly oversized button down was an adorable outfit that looked like a cool version of spring that you could just live in. Everything looks so comfortable and we all know fashion is not always very accommodating to comfort levels.
The colors are springtime light; nothing is too bold, too harsh, too on one side of the spectrum; everything is just right. The Madewell spring 2017 collection is just full of fabulous every day options. The whole design looks chic and fashion forward without giving the impression that you have to be one of Miranda Priestly’s assistants to pull off the look.
It is a much more realistic every day aesthetic that would be perfect for a day relaxing, running errands or just living, and let’s be real, most of the clothes that make up a wardrobe are every day clothes. Madewell is filling a gap with their spring 2017 collection.
So many collections just feature the clothes you want to wear to an event, when you really want to be seen. The Madewell spring 2017 collection has so many options for a fashionista’s daily wardrobe that it is difficult not to see oneself in a majority of the clothes. That is a mark of a great collection, wearability and interest.
There is so much interest and pre-shopping going on around the lookbook that it is difficult not to worry about the pieces you want not being sold out. One of the standout outfits is a lighthearted aviator style jumpsuit with adorable patches adorning the front of the shoulders for a fun and upbeat look.

The see-now-buy-now formula is attracting more and more fashion houses and labels, spreading its encouraging marketing results throughout the fashion industry as the months pass by. One of the latest brands to adopt this formula is Madewell, whose fall 2016 lookbook is already available for pre-order and purchase at Madewell.com.
Madewell’s fall 2016 lookbook, which is also finally here and ready to be browsed through, marks also another new kind of marketing formula for the label, which is that of letting its customers pre-order their autumnal pieces now rather than having to wait up until the collection finally hits the stores. Those at Madewell’s headquarters also decided not to unveil their fall 2016 lookbook in March, as they used to, letting our anticipation and curiosity grow bigger and bigger.
Of course, such an unusual decision meant they had a huge responsibility on their shoulders, especially among those who rely on Madewell to find something suitable to wear during the colder seasons. Now that the lookbook is finally available (it was released on Pinterest, Facebook and via newsletter), we can definitely state the wait was worth it!
Infused with a sense of edgy urban-chic style, the 29-piece collection is quite variegated, both in terms of lines and colors. Although the hues might be overall described as mainly neutral, with pastel pink and white dominating the scene, the collection features burgundy, black and earth shades as well, not to mention the Vichy and striped patterns that dynamically interrupt the solid-colored garments too.
Each color chosen is meant to be perfectly paired with the collection’s denim line, which features a wide variety of denim jackets and jeans. As for the latter, the cropped cuts used are the collection’s most recurring motif. Cropped sleeves, cropped heavyweight tailored pants and cropped jackets coming in a delicate color palette, help infuse these upcoming autumnal months with strong and covetable bon-ton vibes we can’t help but fall in love with.
The Madewell fall 2016 clothing line features cool street-style-inspired garments too, the relaxed lines and Nineties-inspired embellishments of which, such as brooches and ironic patches, could be paired with each other for a full-loaded street style look, or mix-and-matched with the urban-chic pieces for a whimsical bon ton style.
Like some of the most acclaimed pre-fall and fall 2016 collections showed, this Madewell fall 2016 line-up is filled with loungewear proposals too, yet here translated to a more contemporary, purely ready-to-wear mood. Vichy-printed jumpsuits and oversized kimono jackets complete the collection, making it ultimately versatile and eclectic indeed.
The collection can be pre-ordered through the brand’s email firstname.lastname@example.org, or even by calling (866) 544-1937. Once you contact the label’s press officers, you will also learn about the price tags.

Irish born New York fashion designer Daryl Kerrigan was a huge cult favorite in the 1990s after she opened her first shop in 1991 and developed the hip hugger bootleg that gained quite the following without any advertisement or money spent on PR. They were hipster jeans really and were dubbed low riders, party inspired by the 1970s hip huggers found in a vintage warehouse. It appears that while initially Kerrigan had little interest in the fashion scene, she ended up developing a whole new style that would become signature in her collections, while taking over the minds and bodies of teens and young adults, even older women, everywhere. Today, Daryl Kerrigan is designing a capsule collection for Madewell, with 18 pieces focused on the beauty of denim. The launch will be made and celebrated during the New York Fashion Week, while the pieces are to be available to Madewell customers from February 8, 2016.
It appears that the idea of a collaboration between Kerrigan and Jenna Lyons, the president and creative director of J. Crew, and effectively Madewell, has been tossed about for a while now. We are so very glad to see that the idea came into fruition and turned into a capsule collection we would be more than happy to shop from. Plus, with the 1990s a big thing for 2016, both on and off the runway, it almost makes sense to have Kerrigan resurface thus.
“It wasn’t about a fashion, it was about an attitude, and a theory of how to dress,” she told Vogue. “It wasn’t about throw-away anything. I love denim flares. There’s some really awesome flares in there, and there’s a fitted little jean jacket. They make such a good look together. I love tailoring, and fit is really important and you can achieve that in denim.”
We are inclined to agree. We love fit and flare pieces most and denim will always stay first and foremost in our favorite clothing list. With the ability to be dressed up or down, the colors played with and the cuts turned more pronounced, denim is essentially one of the most versatile materials in the world of fashion today.
Daryl Kerrigan had been forgotten for a time there. Her pieces are remembered, but the designer had been losing her status in society. This Madewell gig brings her back with vigor, while the number of merchandise available on her site is expected to grow with the denim there as well come next week.
Skinny pants are our favorite and we would love some, but have you seen the capsule pieces? Straight cuts with high waists, perfect blue wash shorts with brown belts, matching flared-hem jeans and jackets, a bit of fringe, a bit of cuff and a whole lot of the material itself define the whole of the Daryl Kerrigan x Madewell denim collection. Midi skirts, button up dresses and fun overalls all make us so happy that the denim queen is back in town!

If your collection of denim is nothing near modest, then here’s an extra training for you; find a pen and start taking notes. Starting with the bad news, it’s possible that you’ve been wearing your denim all wrong! We can’t blame you, there are new campaigns showcasing the elegant side of denim outfits everyday, but the good news is that it’s time to go back to the original thanks to the latest Madewell spring 2016 denim collection.
Here’s what your denim outfits should look like this spring. The hub of accessories and denim, Madewell released 10 images for its spring 2016 campaign. Delicate Constance Jablonski stars in the campaign revealing some relaxed vibes of everyday life you’ll be jealous of.
It’s universal truth that jeans are the second most comfortable things you can have in your closet (first place being taken by sweatpants), so feel free to spice up your outfits with tomboy, relaxed, and messy styles. All of those will look great with denim without any effort on your side. At least, that’s what we observe in Madewell’s denim lookbook for spring 2016.
This time Madewell has paired its denim with the eternal classic – the leather jacket. There are also some fresh additions like a shirtdress (that’s new, isn’t it?) and a couple of full denim looks. We especially loved the denim buttoned shirt over another sailor shirt underneath. There can never be too many layers of sexiness in one look.
The lumberjack shirt over a full denim outfit is another newly-invented old-look that we loved. Both the fabric and the print are very hot at the moment; double the impression by wearing them together. Keep in mind to try the lumberjack scarf and the shirtdress as well.
You know what else looks awesome with jeans? Oversized jackets! Forget about the fit, you can even take over your boyfriend’s jacket or, even better, get one from Madewell. And can you tell one other thing that looks great underneath that oversized jacket paired with casual jeans? Yes, everything looks good there.
Finally, let’s go over the holy grail of all denim – jeans. If you follow Madewell’s guideline, you should revamp those high-waist jeans you bought last season, because they’re staying on the trend list this season too!
You can go skinny or loose-fitted, long or short. One style that didn’t surface the Madewell denim lookbook is the boyfriend jeans. It looks like the brand joins the race for loose clothing, but keeps some limits to it. Keep your silhouette no matter what!
We loved the colors, and we’re sure you’ll love them too! A palette that appeals to a true denim fan! Lots of greys, khakis, and the denim blues! A choice of shades that can all be mix matched with each other.
If you’re a passionate supporter of the street style, this lookbook will be a perfect and inspirational weekend read.

Madewell is a brand known for its easy spring styles and generous use of denim, so we had an idea of what to expect going into the brand’s spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection. New head of design Joyce Lee has been working for the company for seven years now, and has since worked up to this new position. She clearly knows the brand, so there’s no surprise the designs are in classic Madewell style. Feminine bohemian looks dominate the Madewell spring 2016 collection, in a simple flirty way. The color palette is just as easy as the garments themselves, so these clothes are made for the laid-back boho-chic girl, who can’t get enough of the denim trend.
A particularly interesting dress caught my eye, because of its subtle innovation and unique perspective. In a dusty pink color, the dress is tea length and seems to resemble that of a modest vintage dress, but with a twist. The buttons in the back lead up to a sultry back cutout, relieving us of that worn-out design. Even though there’s not much changed about the overall design of this dress, there’s something that just screams newness, and it’s a truly beautiful effect.
Other dresses were flirty and flouncy, and fell around the knee in a youthful way. The fabrics were breezy, making us already miss the warm days of spring and summer. But of course the real star pieces were the separates, especially the denim. The brand is famous for its use of denim, so of course the garments are masterfully done. When you know taste won’t be an issue, you can sit back and take in the fashion, and really appreciate the work that goes into tailoring denim.
Skirts, a vest, capris, pants, a jacket, and overalls were created in the fabric, which is a trend that’s had its ups and downs in fashion, yet Madewell always seems to make it work. There’s something so old yet new about this whole collection. All of the silhouettes were taken from past trends, often designs not considered timeless or comeback trends, but the way they reconfigure them brings them to a whole new level. The pieces aren’t timeless, and seem a bit outdated even, but in a strange way it works for the modern world.
That being said, the looks are very quirky at times. It will take a specific woman to want to pull them off, but the clothes still look great. Even if they aren’t quite your style, it’s easy to appreciate the fine detailing of each garment, which will look great walking the streets.
There’s no brand out there quite like Madewell, and it seems like it will be fine in the hands of Lee, who is already showing a great continuation and progression of the brand’s legacy.

Madewell goes on with its ultra-flabbergasting and sassy style suggestions, and the brand new array of options comes in the Madewell spring/summer 2014 campaign, being the most recent pack of Madewell imagination and chic! The cool campaign images feature bombshell Erin Wasson, who presents the wonderful pieces of the collection from the best and the most amazing angles possible! The breathtakingly cute background secured by the images of Malta also contributed to the great effect of the shots.
Vibes and pieces like comfy jeans, warm jackets and coats, and super great shirts make up the basic looks we find in the Madewell spring/summer 2014 collection. So that’s how the line is opened, demonstrated with an uber-youthful combo of a black “Paris” reading sleeveless top and cool black pants, finished off with the trench coat topping the all black creativity. The next option goes on with the creative design patterns, presenting some checkered patterns for the shirt and pale blue skinny pale pants.
Sporty looks are created with the T-shirts and the denim shorts with cuffed finishes, matched with the uber-chic sporty cap. Super classic looks are introduced with some top and shorts pairs again, still coming finished with the sassy suit jacket. Stripy patterns are also here, used for the next combo of the relaxed long-sleeved shirt and the ripped bottom, finished off with the leather waistcoat.
Delicate textures form the uniqueness of the next white dress, matched with army-inspired boots. Going further with the military inspirations, the Madewell spring/summer 2014 campaign also features such looks as the denim shirt plus shorts duo, and the next combo with denim and leather pieces. Relaxed shapes for tops with text prints, and bright color solutions like in case of the loose red top are also noteworthy. Khaki green shades and options involving military camouflage prints are what the Madewell spring/summer 2014 collection is nicely finished with.
So once more it’s cool, classy, and indeed made well! All that’s left to do is to opt for your pieces from the Madewell spring/summer 2014 collection and enjoy your ideal and comfy looks!

After several successful collaborations with many famous brands like Alexander Wang, Chanel, Balenciaga, and J. Crew, cute and attractive Caroline de Maigret now presents the Madewell fall 2013 lookbook, composed of truly wonderfully, and breathtakingly designed pieces. The main ideology of this line is probably best illustrated by the description given by the brand, which states, “It’s hard to say what makes something cool. Especially since the second you use ‘cool’, it becomes painfully uncool. But still that certain something is instantly recognizable and lasts forever.” This definition seems to be the written interpretation of what we see in the latest Madewell collection.
The “Wildly Simple” as the collection is named includes, in fact the wild and relaxed motives typical to the Madewell ideas. The 17 looks included in the Madewell fall 2013 collection are unique and cool. Starting with a shirt-jeans combo, the former being put within nice tartan pattern and then followed by a relaxed wool sweater, the looks are more than promising. Passing on, it’s the skinny jeans we see next, combined with a cute jacket.
Further, the manly straight and slightly oversized coat that catches our attention being combined with slouchpants and a black slightly unbuttoned shirt is introduced. Later the looks go on with a cool cardigan and a T-shirt with slip-ons and straight jeans. The awesome brownish boots are there for the best fit. The everyday clutch is probably one of the most practical pieces of this lookbook.
Leather interpretations coming as a biker jacket and leather leggings, combined with a sweatshirt topping a stripy shirt are other interesting games of shapes and techniques. The similar tricks are made with denim as well, particularly reached with denim jackets and pants. The khaki green jacket with a checkered shirt is one of the best color combinations of this line.
Finally, it’s the sloane mini-satchel and the cute boatneck sweater paired with a denim jacket and jeans, followed by the army pants and a silk tux shirt that finish up this ultra-cool collection. So, it’s the Madewell fall 2013 lookbook and it’s really, truly made WELL!
