No need for guessing, the 48-year old star is the new face of Guess‘s Spring 2018 campaign. Mostly young influencers represented the brand so far, but Jennifer Lopez managed to get in the role of a Guess girl at 48. Or maybe Guess isn’t a girl anymore, but a woman. Back in 2012, Claudia Schiffer (41 at that time) joined forces with the brand to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Since then and in general Guess had mostly young faces front their campaigns. Anyway, with the rise of inclusivity in fashion, Guess most certainly sensed the urge to become more age inclusive.
Versace made history recently by casting older supermodels such as Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Helena Christensen for their Spring 2018 show. Moreover, Helmut Lang did the same in the past season. From the affordable brands, Zara broke the ice with its “Timeless” campaign that featured gorgeous models that are over 40. So, Guess decided to join this age-inclusive movement that’s going on together with Jennifer Lopez and here is why:

Jennifer Lopez was equally excited to become a Guess girl, claiming that she loved the brand ever since she was Jenny from the block (and later in life judging by an Instagram photo of the star where she shows off her toned abs in a cropped Guess sweater).
“When I got the call from Paul Marciano, asking me to become the new Guess Girl, I was thrilled and excited to be a part of such an iconic brand that I have loved since I was a teenager,’ the star said in a press release.
Guess already released a photo in which Jennifer Lopez poses in a pin-up inspired outfit. Tatiana Gerusova shot and the co-founder Marciano directed the retro-inspired campaign. The singer wears a vintage button-down and high-waisted shorts combo. J Lo has a leggy moment in the photo showing off her perfectly toned legs while wearing sky-high stilettos. The campaign is nostalgic and a bit different from the logo-infused pieces of the brand.
For those who are obsessed with the Guess logo, Jennifer Lopez presented some of the brand’s iconic pieces in her latest “Amor, Amor, Amor ” video, released earlier this month. Hailey Baldwin has a lot that keeps piling up onto her résumé ” now she can add Guess girl to the list. Baldwin starred in her first modeling campaign back in 2014, and since then she has created two capsule collections (handbags with The Daily Edited and makeup with ModelCo) and has also continued to gain a huge following on Instagram, with 8.8 million followers as of Wednesday.
After only a few years in the business, though, it’s still inspiring (but not all that surprising) that Baldwin landed her most recent campaign. Guess Inc. is celebrating its 35th anniversary with the Guess Jeans spring 2017 campaign, with the official anniversary in March, and Hailey Baldwin, as an Insta-famous, well-known yet still fresh face, makes for the perfect choice.
Granted, this is not her first time working with the brand. Last July, Baldwin posed for her first Guess campaign, so being a repeat-model makes her that much more of a desirable choice.
Paul Marciano, chief creative officer for Guess, and Rayan Ayash, photographer, were behind the campaign, which was shot in Palm Springs, California. The photoshoot features Baldwin and Emma Stern in the graceful, feminine silhouettes that are still super sexy and flattering to the female body; Stefano Sala posed alongside the two female models as well, sporting the latest menswear, which has a heavy inspiration rooted in military style.
Womenswear consisted of floating silk maxi dresses, bohemian tops, and plenty of distressed denim. The styles are super easygoing, perfect for the everyday woman whose life consists of going to events like Coachella and living that California lifestyle (at any location in the world).
The brand kept things true to itself, above all. Think denim outfits with two or more pieces, or a pencil skirt of the same fabric that bridges the gap between streetwear and officewear. The skirt is characterized by dual-sided button detailing and a dark wash in a hip-hugging silhouette. This is one of the more prominent statement pieces in the line, despite not being flashy or colorful.
For the most part, the Guess Jeans spring 2017 campaign kept things cool with shades of blue popping in here and there amid a base of earth tones. Rose patterning also gave breaks from the natural color scheme, while also bolstering the bohemian vibes of the lineup.
Baldwin is shown rocking a flowing silk maxi in a perfectly earthy green that flows beautifully against the California backdrop. Seeing an Insta-famous model wear something just makes it that much more appealing for a wider array of people, since they are the celebrities who clue you into their daily lives, establishing connections and viewership.

The duo, who according to the WWD was shot in a minimalist, modern house in Palm Springs, California, perfectly embodies the brand’s holiday spirit, which combines the Los Angeles-based label’s sensual attitude with the carefreeness and cheerful mood the holiday season usually exudes.
The 7-piece GUESS holiday 2016 collection campaign shows us Hailey Baldwin’s incredible appeal and professionalism as a model, as the 19-year-old model managed to strike both her sexiest and most high fashion poses over the span of a few pictures.

“I never really know what direction things are going to go for me in my career. But this is definitely a cool platform and I feel great to be a part of it,” she declared.

GUESS went red for its holiday 2015 ad campaign. The cast models embodied the bold red bombshell looks the ad was trying to focus on, and it resulted in a truly stunning photoshoot laced with classic beauty. Grace Elizabeth, Jacey Elthalion, and Megan Williams were the models featured in the photoshoot, sporting the brand’s newest collection for the end of 2015. This holiday season, the GUESS woman isn’t afraid to stand out in a crowd, and instead embraces the individuality by polishing herself off with bright red lipstick, this paired with the shining, wavy hair for the perfect, classic bombshell look.
Not unlike the name of the brand, anyone sporting GUESS’s newest line will be a mystery; she will keep people guessing who she is all night long. The brand’s use of red and metallic in this line further shows this, since bright colors and sparkle aren’t made for the woman who wants to fade into the background.
Some looks were subtler, while some left little to the imagination as far as modesty. The floor-length gown with a center cutout can be played more demure than other looks, but could also have the opposite effect, all depending on who is wearing it and with what intention. Other looks featured deep V’s and high hemlines, showing a large amount of skin, which is perfect for women who just want to flaunt their favorite curves. This risqué collection of clothes is stunning to look at, especially with the models cast. This casting, mixed with the simple yet bold backdrop of reds and bright hues created a setting for the perfect amount of sex appeal and power to charge the entire ad campaign. Red is a daring color in so many ways, because it is linked to a great many powerful symbols ” love, sex, anger ” and it’s easy for one’s emotions to take off, just by looking at so much power exuding from one campaign.
And even amid all of this, the clothes are able to shine and speak for themselves. You can look at the photos and see the models and their personas, and you can look and see the clothes individually, which is less common than one might be led to believe. It’s easy to let one aspect overpower the other, but GUESS’s ad campaign is demonstrating what can happen when they find the perfect balance.
Red is seduction. And sometimes there’s nothing more powerful than that. GUESS is saying that by wearing these flashy clothes, there’s nothing stopping you from exuding the same level of sex appeal or power that these models do. If you like the clothes but don’t want to stand out that far, then they can serve that purpose if you will it. But GUESS wants each woman to consider the possibility and potential of being bold and deciding to stand out in the crowd.

GUESS, an American upscale clothing brand retailer, has released its spring 2015 campaign and we are thrilled with the amount of sophisticatedly sexy designs we are privy to. The Marciano brothers set up shop in Los Angeles back in 1981 and GUESS made its first appearance in the upscale Beverly Hills area. In 1985, it had made iconic black-and-white advertisements its staple. With revenues of over 1.2 billion USD a year, the company is one of the largest brands and most definitely a favorite among the young and the old. It’s no wonder that the presentation of the GUESS spring 2015 campaign has been a much anticipated event for many, particularly after the latest announcement of the brand’s face Gigi Hadid becoming a Maybelline brand ambassador.
On January 18, 2015, the headlines brought the limelight onto Gigi Hadid, the 19-year-old American fashion model and TV personality, who brings her sexy poses to the GUESS spring 2015 collection and blows all away with her sassy style. She’s been the face of GUESS ever since she was a child, the latest of which was in 2012, and the past year has enjoyed much in terms of popularity, due to her cover feature on Galore Magazine, Carine Roitfield’s CR Fashion Book and Sch‚Äö√†√∂‚Äö√†√án! Magazine. As for her work with GUESS, we absolutely love seeing her take center stage and turn out to be on the cover of it all. This is her first solo campaign and we believe she’s done an amazing job in presenting the denim, gingham prints and knitwear, all in her sexy style (some may argue a little too sexy in some places). Throughout the whole of the campaign we see denim on denim styling, lacy designs and a good amount of gingham to really sate one’s appetite.
It’s not a common occurrence to see knit sweaters over beachwear, but we cannot help but comment on how lovely the mix looks. It’s kind of like wearing a sweater over mini shorts, except you are definitely showing off more skin than that. The sweater in itself is gorgeous, looks, extremely soft and comfortable, while still encompassing both warmth and sexiness in design. The string bikini and the beach background have us pining for warmer days already, but the lovely knit sweater will have to do for the moment this spring‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë¬¨‚àÇ at least until the weather warms up by May and we find the nearest beach to enjoy some Vitamin D along with the surf.
Gigi Hadid appears to be a rather professional ballet dancer as well if her pose says anything about her extracurricular activities. The beach dress is magnificent though, with the stringy connection between skirt and top mesmerizing to look at. It is light, flowing, and baring much while leaving just enough to the imagination to be one of the sexiest vacation dresses to take to the beach we’ve yet seen this year. Now we just need to work on our bikini bodies and maybe see into working on our dance steps if we’re going to pull off a similar pose in the future!
Denim over lacy coral-colored dress and gingham bikini bottoms looks rather amazing unto itself actually. Now we just wish we had a better view of the dress and perhaps the top of that gingham bikini as well but beggars can’t be choosers it appears. But the off-the-shoulder design of that dress is reminiscent of Spanish or Mexican styles, while the color itself is very warm and suited for carefree summer days. The denim does much to bring out the amazing in the whole of the outfit, though we might like to see it actually on the shoulders of someone before picking it up for ourselves.
