Fendi keeps releasing campaigns that feature the trendiest names of the moment. Just recently the brand celebrated the 10th anniversary of their infamous Peekaboo bag a with a female-focused campaign that featured Kim Kardashian, her daughter North West and momager Kris Jenner. Now, Fendi is back with another fantastic ad material for their Fall 2018 collection. The masterminds behind the Italian fashion house, Karl Lagerfeld, and Silvia Venturini Fendi tapped Gigi Hadid and Adwoa Aboah to present the offerings for the upcoming season. The inspiring supermodels are the perfect duo to show the chic Fendi pieces for Fall/Winter 2018.
Adwoa Aboah completed her third and final photo series for Burberry. The inspiring model has teamed up with the British luxury fashion house in December last year. Since then she has taken Burberry on locations that are meaningful to her to create a beautiful set of photographs. These projects have been a family affair for the model. She invited the closest members of her family as well as friends to star in the campaigns.
For the first photo project, Adwoa Aboah and the legendary photographer Juergen Teller went to London, where the model grew up. She chose locations that she personally loves and styled the shots. The campaign was full of neon-hued designs that shined in full force against the gray shades of London.
The second campaign was shot in New York, where Adwoa Aboah currently lives. The model once again invited her closest friends and family members to accompany her in the shots. Her sister was also part of this campaign. When it comes to fashion, the accent was on Burberry‘s traditional checks in this project.
For the last photo series, the model and activist decided to take Burberry to her father’s family home in Ghana. Burberry traveled to Accra, the capital of Ghana and even got one of her family members involved in designing for the campaign. Aboah’s aunt, Tina was asked to design the dresses for this photo project. The model brought her a bundle of the signature Burberry fabric so her aunt can make her a dress. Tina was more than excited to design for Burberry.
“I’ve had a week of sleepless nights because I just wanted to get it right. My tailors are amazing and it’s just been wonderful doing something with Adwoa. I’m not going to sleep for months! I’m still dreaming,” Tina shared her excitement.
Adwoa Aboah and female members of her family posed in the gorgeous dresses her aunt designed for Burberry. Among the members who appear in the photo series are her cousin Kensemah Aboah, great aunt Mary Asare, and grandmother Gladys. All of them wear checked traditional dresses. Just like before, the third campaign with Adwoa Aboah for Burberry is shot by Juergen Teller.
This project has a special meaning for the model. She also took it to Instagram to express her pride over the photo series that honor her heritage and home country. Each of the photo series created for Burberry felt personal to Adwoa, but this last one made her very emotional because she had a chance to show the world her family as well as a fresh perspective of contemporary Ghana and the Ghanian style.

Just weeks after announcing Gal Gadot as their ambassador, Revlon is bringing more famous names in their family. As a part of the Live Boldly campaign, the cosmetics brand tapped Ashley Graham, Adwoa Aboah, Raquel Zimmermann, and Imaan Hammam. They are the new addition of Revlon’s spokeswomen. Achok Majak and Rina Fukushi are the two models that also joined the campaign for a photo shoot which shows that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.
Revlon launched the Live Boldly movement, as a way to support diversity and make their brand more inclusive. As an action for positive change, the beauty company celebrates all women as equally beautiful. This is their first ad that features models of different sizes, ages, and shapes. In the debut shot of the ads, you can see the six uniquely beautiful ladies strolling down the street while wearing gorgeous metallic dresses.
This is the first official beauty contract for the gorgeous Graham. It’s unbelievable that it took so much time for beauty brands to snatch Ashley as their ambassador. After all, she is one of the most popular names in the industry who ranked among the highest-paid models of 2017. According to her, this is a groundbreaking move, considering the fact that not many plus-sized models get featured in such huge campaigns.
“I am thrilled to be part of this timely and groundbreaking campaign with different types of women across races, ages, and sizes, and to leverage this platform to continue to create positive change. To ‘Live Boldly’ is the mantra of my life. Every day in the mirror I say to myself, ‘I am bold, I am brilliant, I am beautiful,’ and together with Revlon, we can inspire all women to do the same.”- Graham told in her statement.
Adwoa’s immense success is another inspirational story to hear. After having a troubled past, she managed to land the award of Model of the Year for 2017 by the British Council. Aboah also funded the platform Gurls Talk, where women can freely share all of their experiences and stories.
“Revlon gives us a platform that allows us to be accessible to all different types of women. To me, ‘living boldly’ means being unapologetic, knowing no boundaries, being vulnerable, strong, authentic and yourself.”- Adwoa shared.
Hammam is a well-known African-Arabic model, that has broken boundaries many times since the start of her career. Imaan has been the cover girl of countless popular magazines and walked every single high-end runway show you can imagine. Zimmermann has an impressive resume as both a model and environmentalist.
Hopefully, Revlon’s full product range will become much more diverse in the future. The Live Boldly campaign is a huge step towards making the beauty industry equal for all women.
It’s just the right time of the year to take a moment and admire the best celebrity fashion moments we saw in the past 12 months. Trends were on the bold side this year, so red carpets were a hot spot. From the Met Gala to the MTV VMAs, celebrities were competing with each other for the best-dressed title. We have to admit it was a tough choice, but we finally chose our favorite celebrity fashion moments in 2017.
The most glamorous night of the year, the Met gala had the best fashion moments as always. With a strictly curated guest list, designers and in advance-approved style choices by Anna Wintour you can only expect nothing but the best. Zendaya went by the rule “either you go big or you go home” at this year’s Met Gala and donned a Dolce & Gabbana vibrant bird print gown.
Rihanna’s Met Gala outfit went to the fashion history from the moment she stepped on the red carpet on the first Monday in May 2017. In sync with the “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between” theme the fashion chameleon flaunted an intricate Comme des Garçons outfit complimented with gladiator sandals and monochromatic makeup. It became a tradition for Rihanna to shut down the Met Gala with her fashion choices. No wonder why she got to host the 2018 Met Gala. We can’t even imagine what she has up her sleeve for 2018.
Priyanka Chopra used the Met Gala’s red carpet to let everyone know that trench coat-like dresses are as glamorous as a Cinderella gowns. The actress looked unexpectedly extravagant in the ballgown-meets-trench-coat dress, platform ankle boots, and messy updo.
Another celebrity fashion moment that everyone remembers is Olivia Culpo’s wonderous floral dress at the Golden Globes. The former pageant queen dropped jaws with the voluminous whimsical gown courtesy of the red-carpet pro Zuhair Murad. Opposite of Olivia Culpo’s colorful story, Zuhair Murad prepared a pastel pink fairytale-like gown for actress Lily Collins for the same event. Lily Collins warmed our hearts in a heavily embellished tulle dress with ruffle detailing and scored high on every best-dressed list.
Just recently Lupita Nyong’o stunned in a midi Kira-Kira-worthy dazzling dress at the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Lupita is not seen but only heard in the cult movie. So, she probably wanted to make sure that everyone will notice her on the premiere. Well, mission accomplished – the striking emerald color of the Halpern dress looked even more beautiful on the actress’s complexion.

Adwoa Aboah had a stellar year. The young star is a part of a new diverse generation of models with hundreds of fashion shows and successful campaigns behind her this year. In 2017 she also had the honors to grace the debut cover of British Vogue under the helm of Edward Enninful. Just recently she was named Model of the Year at the Fashion Awards, but to round up this year with style Adwoa Aboah has one more thing up her sleeve. The model teamed up with the legendary fashion photographer Juergen Teller on a series of photos to showcase Burberry’s new collection that will hit the stores on December 26.
Teller and Adwoa collaborated on cast, location and the overall stories. Adwoa invited her friends and family to accompany her in the campaign for Burberry. In the photos, you can see the models’ cousins George Husband, Alfie Husband, Richard Theodore-Aboah and Kwame N’Dow, as well as Mae Muller and Montell Martin. The group is photographed along Regent’s Canal in North London.
“It has been a huge honor for me to work with Burberry and Juergen Teller on this inspiring project. My role as both model and artistic director is one I have really enjoyed and embraced. Christopher Bailey is an incredible visionary and it has been an amazing experience to work together with him and Juergen to create this series of stories,” the model says.
Everybody wears Burberry’s recognizable checks that experienced tremendous fame this year thanks to the latest trends that involved a lot of this print. For this collection, Christopher Bailey decided to upgrade this classic print by infusing a pop of neon to it. This is the last collection from the designer since he announced that will leave Burberry after 17 years in the role of creative director for the brand.
The photos for the collaboration are raw and in Juergen Teller’s signature snapshot style. Adwoa Aboah and her friends and family radiate positivity in the photos in sync with Christopher Bailey’s youthful aesthetic. You can see many of Burberry’s recognizable trench coats upgraded with modern street-approved elements.
Bailey obviously prepared Burberry for a smooth transition. Adwoa is one of the most influential models at the moment with her own empowering online platform known as Gurls Talk. Gurls Talk is described as a safe place for young women to discuss things such as mental health, sex, and social media. More photos from the collaboration between Adwoa Aboah and Juergen Teller are expected to drop in 2018.
