Tod’s Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – Milan Fashion Week
What do you expect from a talented fashion designer, who has worked for Gucci, Valentino and Miu Miu? Well, the result is obviously stunning, stylish and hot. Alessandra Facchinetti’s Tod’s sping/summer 2014 collection unveiled at Milan Fashion Week just today is the earnest outcome of the collaboration of some diligent and creative professionals. It seems, Victoria’s Secret Angel Karolina Kurkova is the perfect person to make the collection look good. As the fashioner Alessandra Facchinetti said Karolina always “flirts with tradition but without any rules.” And she definitely does wearing such heart-beating sassy outfits!
The essential colors of the Tod’s sping/summer 2014 collection are modern, but also create a nostalgic atmosphere of the old times, when Europe was on its highest pick of blossom. The combination of futuristic looks with some mythological antique dresses makes the collection even more mature and cool. The hot burgundy, crisp white, pure blue and the caramel tones are super-trendy and feminine. Leather is the main material of the collection, which manages to appear way too artistic and aristocratic to be ignored.
The very first look of the Tod’s sping/summer 2014 runway show was a burgundy leather dress with a white chic bag, which seems to be a perfect look for the next main female character in the “Men in Black” movie. It is classy and extravagant though a bit bizarre to wear it casually. Another innovation is the maroon leather dress with white semi-circles and a black semi-belt. It is a perfect look for magicians or wizards.
The Tod’s sping/summer 2014 collection also has some teacher-ready looks, such as the white classy skirt matched with a white loose elegant shirt, or the creamy loose shirt and costume worn over a plain white tank top.
Our favorite look of the show is probably the Aphrodite dress in creamy leather, which is strikingly stunning. Wholly, the Tod’s sping/summer 2014 collection is a source of inspiration for chic casual wear looks with an elegant touch!
