Marni Resort 2016 Collection
We have looked all the different resort 2016 fashion trends that have taken over the recent collection expected to be released come the month of November of this year. We have compiled the list before taking a look at the Marni resort 2016 collection as well, terrible really since there is so much awesomeness to be found in this particular line-up that seems to be bringing in the old and mixing with the new. After all, it is not every day that you see medieval chain mail and traditional clothing colors meet modern hems and styling designs.
Consuelo Castiglioni likes the fluid silhouettes it appears, along with the optical illusions and the vivid prints, the last 2 of which are common trends across the board. Visual effects seem to be big of late and the Marni house is no stranger to incorporating the mainstream into the uniquely different. This collection alone has a strange beauty to it, with edgy and eccentric designs and a sophistication engulfing it that was not expected. Consuelo specializes in the improbable fusions, turning them very much probable.
The 1970s vibe is still permeating throughout the fashion world of late. The color schemes and the cuts, the patterning and the styles all wrap up together well enough, while the Marni collection utilizes the good that brings about and shows off collections which would be hard to emulate by another. Some of the loveliest pieces include geometric honeycombs in browns and yellows, along with oversized wallpaper worthy floral prints in psychedelic colors that included the clashing of acid blue with lovely pinks and burgundy.
Trends from 2015 that seem to be stretching into 2016 through Marni include the cropped top exposing an open midriff, a high waist and looser pants that fall to the ground, well over the shoes and made the perfect height to prevent bunching up at the ends. Extreme flares to the pant legs, worn over open toe platform sandals were among the first to be introduced, followed by girlier pieces in tromp l’eoil silk blouses and skirts that look more like slip-dresses worn over a shirt. Denim looked as if it was made for work alone, while the leather bomber jackets worn over the cropped bra tops were certainly something to look forward to. There is just something about mixing the masculine with the feminine that holds such incredible allure. Another trend that continues on, coming in stronger than before, is the combination of matching dress and bag, so that the bag itself gets lost when held against the garments.
Between midi hems and A-line skirts, polo shirts and leather bombers, starry prints and shirt under plunging necked dress combination, this is a collection that has a rather intriguing combination of outfits which definitely need to be paired right in order to look good instead of thoroughly awkward. We have to admit though, we will not be going for those sandals anytime soon! They hold positively no allure, even for the fashion savviest of women, let alone those who know nothing about the latest in the whole industry.
