Dolce & Gabbana’s Family-Oriented Fall 2015 Campaign
There is nothing sweeter than seeing a line of clothing by a truly respected brand in the fashion world go the family route and show off what it means to be a mother of a child. The Dolce & Gabbana fall 2015 collection campaign that aired but a few months ago during Fashion Week is making waves already, as women everywhere celebrate every stage of motherhood, from pregnancy onwards. The diverse advertisements for the FW 2015 line have really caught the hearts of those who have viewed them, as we see a feature of a great range of ages and ethnicities, with models such as Ashleigh Gold, Monica Bellucci, Esmeralda Seay Reynolds, Sora Choi, and Tami Williams showing off their good looks and incredible style. Dolce & Gabbana even had an Instagram contest wherein everyone was encouraged to send in family photos of large groups, one such feature even including a modern photo of a retro dressed Armenian group, complete with traditional shoes, headscarves and dress.
In the actual Dolce & Gabbana fall 2015 campaign however, the advertisements show off some people eating spaghetti, while others take selfies and show off their phones as well. There are kids and there are adults, there are dogs and there are bongos. It is an interesting combination of great people, a family of odds and ends that comes together under one roof and enjoys the occasions immensely. Between grandparents and newborns, pregnant ladies and modern princesses, the shots are incredible and tastefully put together.
The family oriented images show off a chic sense of style for everyone actually. From the shoes to the handbags, the suits and the dresses, even the sexy getups in leather corsets, the 2015 ad campaign has us enthralled, grasped firmly in its hands. There are even some seriously fashionable headphones to be had, matching with the jewel crusted phones that appear in some hands here and there. The campaign itself has a “Viva La Mama” theme to it, one, which is accepted with open arms and a warmly overflowing heart.
The campaign has been done in bright and bold colors, while black still appears all over as well as the sophisticated ladies take center stage. There has certainly been a maternal streak for the brand of late, including the casting of old but beautiful grandparents in the spring 2015 campaign. There seems to be a focus on the more traditional nuclear families but we are perfectly fine with that! Plus, the festive feel of the ads only adds to the warmth that emanates from the photos showing off the groups of well-dressed and utterly adorable kids, adults and elderly. Will all generations represented equally, cannot imagine fashion critiques having anything less than perfectly positive to say about it all. It is most certainly a campaign that we can look forwards to buying from, a collection that truly has gems worth adding to our wardrobes. The bright and cheerful representation of lacy dresses, pregnancy attire, long sleeved or no sleeved mini dresses, and funky sporty attire certainly does much to win over the consumer.
