Coach 1941 Resort 2018 Collection
The creative director of Coach, Stuart Vevers, delivered a very romantic and easy to wear Resort 2018 Collection. Since his takeover in 2013 Vevers introduced a lot of his signature style in the brand’s collections. It is obvious that he adores the American style and the country. As we could see from the Resort 2018 collection and his previous work, Stuart loves to design dresses, denim pieces, and jackets. The colors in the latest collection are perfect for the autumn, the season when the line will be available in stores. The designs are patterned and colorful, but very feminine and edgy at the same time.
The dresses are in a prairie style as Vevers likes to call it. You can see many chiffon dresses with fun prints. There are several black ones with patterns of penguins sipping Champagne, a maroon one with many small stars and a soft white one with comets.
When it comes to the denim, there are a lot of patches that give a fun vibe to the designs. The denim jacket, dress, shorts, skirts and flare jeans are enriched with patches such as stars, clouds, planets and more. All of this made in a very cool and fun way to attract the young consumer base. The varsity jackets and satin bombers are paired with soft, feminine dresses and the final result is an edgy look to die for.
Vevers dressed up his models in cowboy boots and accessorized them with patched and studded large handbags as well as small messenger bags from the brand’s latest collection.
“This arrives in stores in November. I was thinking about the Coach girl dressing up because it felt really right this season. There’s a thread of sci-fi — specifically ‘Star Wars’”- said Stuart.
In 2015, the famous fashion brand introduced a new label named Coach 1941. This is a higher-priced line that offers ready-to-wear clothing, that is actually a whole new concept for the fashion house. Coach 1941 debuted their first runway show in September 2015, and since then every other show was very well approved by the buyers.
This year Coach scored the famous singer and actress Selena Gomez as their new face. Since then, Selena was seen in a custom-made beautiful pink Coach gown designed by Vevers himself, at one of the biggest fashion events in the world The Met Gala.
