I know a lot of you are jumping for joy about the events taking place over the next few months. There are oodles of music festivals in our near future, starting with Coachella this weekend and next. This week’s outfit of the week is my version of “Coachella style” or any music festival style for that matter. I love wearing bell bottoms and flare jeans to festivals, so that’s what I always start planning my outfit around. Then I always add something fun up top that moves well when I dance, so it’s either something with fringe or something long, flowy, and chiffon. Then I pile on the accessories, (as this is one place where it’s ok to do that), throw some braids in my hair, and stars on my face, and I’m ready to go. Here are some pieces I found for you that are similar to my look above. For inspiration on what to wear to a country concert check out this website.
What was once favorited by clowns, is now favorited by trendsetters and street style gurus everywhere. Mixing patterns is the new thing. Shocked? So was I a bit, but when I tried it, I actually really liked it! Below I am showing you how to create a version of my look, plus some other great ways to mix patterns for whatever the occasion may be. Im my photo I am carrying a bag from BOYY. It’s my new favorite brand of handbags and quickly growing as a favorite in the fashion world as well. It’s a bit of a splurge, but if you don’t mind spending the extra dough on a good bag that goes with almost everything you own, I highly suggest this be the one. It comes in lots of color and size options, including the clutch version that is featured in theist look of this article.
Festival season is here and so are all the fun clothes. I personally believe that some attend festivals just to have a good excuse to dress up. Since there are plenty of examples of how to dress for the actual festival, I thought I would give you an idea of an appropriate look for an after party. Being in the desert at 4 am in teeny shorts and a tank is not exactly warm, luckily you can still keep the festive vibe and party going til the sun comes up with these pieces.
Everywhere I look online and in stores, I see stripes, stripes, and more stripes. They are taking over the fashion world alongside their friend, the polka dot. There are so many vibe routes you can take with stripes, the possibilities are pretty much endless. I found this bold striped dress from H&M and I love how the stripes go different directions. I decided to mix it up a bit and pair it with white heels for a more mod pop. That dress sold out pretty fast but they have another version of it still available (below). I have also sourced out some other great striped dress picks for various vibes and occasions and found some cute ways to accessorize them as well.
Polka dots are coming in strong this season. We have seen them try to sneak in over the past year to two, but now there is a full on polka dot craze. I have possibly went overboard with my dot purchased recently, but I honestly couldn’t help myself. I have gotten the cutest pants, jumpsuit, mini dress, maxi dress, skinny scarf, and more. With all the available pieces, and all of the ways to wear them, there are seriously endless possibilities.
This week I started making my final agenda for my trip to Paris next month, so in that spirit I naturally went Parisian with my outfit of the week. It’s SO simple to put together, and I basically did so with things already in my closet. The main piece being the vinyl trench coat. This outfit can work during fall, winter, and even early spring, ESPECIALLY in Paris.
