We have been seeing florals patterns and prints consecutively for quite a few seasons now, and the forecast states that they are not going anywhere. Transitioning from spring, to summer, then even into winter, the beloved floral trend continues.
Now crossing over into the world of beauty, florals are inspiring beauty gurus everywhere, including Katarina Van Derham. Today is the launch of her limited edition “Glamour Garden” lipstick collection in collaboration with global cosmetic brand LA Splash Cosmetics! This 4 color liquid lipstick collection consists of long lasting original colors inspired by her glamorous life and her love for cruelty-free beauty. You will find these buttercream scented shades inside a gorgeous floral print treasure keepsake box complete with a mirror, and a personal inspirational quote designed by Katarina herself.
Katarina has been in the beauty industry for many years, playing roles both in front of, and behind the camera. As a model, she grace the cover of over 60 magazines worldwide, and has appeared in over 600 major media outlets. As a well respected beauty specialist, she has glammed up many celebrities, and has been invited to judge many pageants and beauty contests around the world.
Being a vegan for 20 years, Katarina feels very passionate about changing the ways of the beauty industry and promoting a cruelty-free world. Navigating around what products are cruelty-free and not can be a challenge for anyone who is passionate about this cause. So, Kat started her line of 100% human hair eyelashes called, “KAT lash” and she was excited to break the trend of Mink eyelashes. She believes that no woman is truly beautiful unless she has a heart.
The “Glamour Garden” lip collection launches February 1st, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Show how big your heart really is with a beautiful, glam, cruelty-free gift for your gal! Here are the shades you will get in this collection:
Fashionisers (Nude): Inspired by the beauty looks on fashioners.com . This everyday color is meant to compliment any style. Trends come and go, but this color is forever.

Sporting an all pink everything ensemble would have once been an eyebrow raiser, but that’s not so much the case in today’s fashion world. It can be tricky to find the right hues of pink to pair up, and even trickier to pull it off without looking like Malibu Barbie. The secret is in the fabrics you choose and how much fabric is on your body, as to not go from street style to street sloppy.
In my look, I started with the key pieces- the most important. I paired a loose- fitting light pink satin trouser to for a delicate and classy feel, with an oversized bubblegum pink sweater. It’s so important when putting this look together that one or both pieces you choose be loose fitting, so you can keep it on the classy side. I wanted a laid back, casual feel that could be day-to-night versatile so I chose to have both pieces fit loosely.
The accessories is the easier part of this look. I love hats, and had this amazing Ros‚Äö√†√∂¬¨√Ü pink hat from Lack of Color- my new favorite hat company, and I feel it paired so well with this look. Then I added a blush pink pump, a mismatched earring set, and a glittery clutch with hints of pink and it was done. The accessories however, do not necessarily have to be pink, but should definitely flow with the same color pattern so that you can keep the look “put together”. For example, if you don’t have pink shoes (and trust me, I know how hard it can be to find that perfect pair), you can do a neutral shade such as a beige/nude, but then make sure your clutch and hat- should you choose one, be in the same scheme. If you want to be a little edgy, then go with black accessories.

Layering is a method as old as time, but it’s been recently reinvented in a way not meant just for the winter months. Sometimes a dress can be too formal and jeans can be too casual. A trend we are continuing to see lately is the combination of both. This popular street style look is much more simple to pull off than one would think. There are various ways you can create this look to best mesh with your personal style and fit almost any occasion. In the cooler months, just choose a heavier fabric, and in the warmer months go with something light and flowy, like a chiffon or satin.
Start with your favorite pair of jeans. In my look, I used a pair of medium toned distressed boyfriend jeans and rolled up the hem just a bit. Almost any pair of jeans would work with this, I would just avoid the styles that are more on the baggy side. Obviously, if you are going for a more casual look, go for jeans that are distressed. If you need to be a bit more formal, then stick to a simple pair. For the main piece, choose a dress with a longer hemline, something that will hit the knees. I like to use a dress that has the option to open up in the front, almost as if it’s doubling up as a coat. With that said, a trench coat would also work for this look. Just throw on a cute camisole underneath so that you can leave the top of the dress open. Another great alternative that I have utilized is finding a dress that does not open, but having my seamstress put a slit in it, either in the front and up one leg to around where your belt loops would be, or all the way up each side, again to where the belt loops are.
Because it’s fall I went with an ankle bootie in blue that matched the blue on my dress, but since this outfit is multi-seasonal friendly, a strappy heel in the spring would look great with it as well. I like the idea of a statement shoe to really add a little extra “spark” to this look. So anything that’s a fun color, sparkly, or with hardware would work great. If you feel the look is not as figure flattering as you would like, some dress styles will allow you to add a belt around the waist as I did with my outfit.
Again, there are countless ways to pull this look off, and it’s super easy. I picked out a few of my favorites for you to re-create this, even with the option of the same dress in a different color…which is now on sale. Lucky you.

Red is such a hot color this season, and when you pair it with other shades of red you are sure to have an eye-catching look. I spent a day roaming around in this effortless ensemble of a red coat and red over the knee patent boots, then broke it up with a wide black belt and black bag. Not only was this look very comfortable, it could be easily transitioned from day to night.
Wearing red does more than just grab attention, it goes much deeper than that. Red is a popular color that has ongoing studies in psychology. Women tend to wear red obviously when they want to be bold and make a statement, but many women wear red both consciously and subconsciously when they know they are going to be around a male they are trying to attract. It’s believed that red is the most passionate color on the spectrum, and is the color that is most associated with love, seduction, sexuality, but also often associated with anger and aggression.
Not sure what shade of red best fits you? Some reds are more flattering on some than others. Finding the correct tone for yourself is key here. Blondes and brunettes tend to be more striking in the bold “cherry” or “tomato” tones. Redheads best don the warmer, darker, more burgundy shades with purple undertones, avoiding shades that fall under the orange scale.
When wearing red as your “centerpiece” color, I feel it’s best to keep the rest of your pieces/accessories within the neutral tones. I.e. if you are not going to go red-on-red, keep the pieces outside of the main garment tan or black. In my particular outfit I found this beautiful wool-blend coat at H&M, the patent leather boots from Zara, and accessorized it with a wide black belt from Zara, and my “So Black” Birkin bag. I chose a slightly bronzy face and went red with the lips as well for double the impact. These are all timeless pieces that can easily be replicated and reused in various ways, with countless looks for years to come, something I feel is very important when choosing staple pieces for your wardrobe. If you want a more low key version of this look while keeping the chicness, then just reverse the color of the pieces and wear an all-black ensemble with a red belt, bag, and red lip. The fresh beauty looks showcased at the Resort 2018 fashion shows had our full attention. One beauty look in particular has peaked the interest of many beauty gurus on social media. Floating eyeliner, or floating crease, uses negative space to create a bold look. Eye shadows and eyeliners are applied around the area where the flick would be, or directly on the crease of the eyelid. This creates an outline as opposed to drawing the shape on directly to the lash line of your eye. Using foundation and an eyeliner on top of your neutral shadows will help you to create a clean floating line.
We paired up the perfect eyeliner to accomplish each look below. No matter which option you select, there are countless different versions of floating eyeliner to try. Here are some gorgeous invisible eyeliner looks that will make you want to play with your eyeliner!
