Renowned Italian label Gucci is preparing to launch a new edition of the ‘Flora’ fragrance, one of its iconic scents, in the upcoming months. Set to be launched in March, just in time for spring, the new Gucci ‘The Garden’ fragrance collection features five incredible scents, which have undergone just a few modifications compared to the first edition of the line that was released in 2009. Supermodel Abbey Lee Kershaw is the face of the new fragrance collection comprising such names as Gorgeous Gardenia, Gracious Tuberose, Glamorous Magnolia, Generous Violet and Glorious Mandarin.
Frida Giannini, the creative director of the luxury brand, describes what impression she wanted to evoke by saying: “So Gorgeous Gardenia because I wanted to underline the gorgeously feminine side of this fragrance. Glorious Mandarin because there’s a sort of euphoria in mandarin, since it’s such a sparkly fruit.”
“It’s a sort of bouquet of scents. It was important that each fragrance was pretty different from the other,’ she stated.
The small changes the scents bear can be noticed in the design of the bottles: “We just played with proportions, so the bottle is taller than the previous one. The cap, rather than being black and gold like in the former iteration, is transparent.”
The ad campaign of the fragrances looks extremely romantic, dreamy and enigmatic, innocent and seductive at the same time thanks to gorgeous Abbey Lee Kershaw and photographer S‚àö‚àèlve Sundsb‚àö‚àè.
The new Flora by Gucci ‘The Garden’ fragrance collection will first get released in the U.K, then in the U.S and finally in other European countries in April and in May in Russia and Middle East. The Chinese have to wait a bit longer, as the collection will arrive in China only next year. When it comes to the price range of the line, seems like you have to pay $100 for the 100 ml version and $75 for the smaller, 50 ml version.
