How to Build Fuller Lashes 

The current trend of wearing really heavy false lash strips is leaving many women hanging. In the past, the beauty industry would use mainly individual lashes to enhance the eyes; however, the faux mink lashes have a very thick band, which can be very uncomfortable on the eyelids and doesn’t fit the eyelash bed as perfectly as some of the more natural human-hair lash strips. And, the real mink, fox and horse hair lashes are, on top of it, also full of cruelty! We believe no animal should die for a woman’s vanity.

When talking about eye makeup, smokey doesn’t mean a smoke color. Smokey means the technique in which you use to apply your eyeshadows. So, when you think of a smokey eye look, it’s the look where the eyes are framed fairly heavily with a darker eyeshadow, which could be done in brown, plum, black, grey, mauve, blue, green, etc.

I’ve been a vegan for 23 years now, and I get so excited seeing more and more cruelty free and vegan brands coming out. This hair tutorial is inspired by a VS Angel that we miss seeing on their runway: Erin Heatherton. Erin was a prominent face at Victoria’s Secret for five years before leaving in 2013 while dealing with body image issues after being told that she needed to lose weight. We understand her reasons for leaving, but we definitely missed seeing her face on the runway this year.

1970’s look

Brigitte Bardot is so much more than just an actress, singer, and model. She was known as being one of the most gorgeous, glamorous women of all time. While her status as a “sex symbol” lasted throughout the decades, her looks changed a bit with the style throughout the 50s, 60s, and 70s. So, here I am going to show you how to achieve the Brigitte Bardot 1970’s look for yourself.

While there are many different ways to create wavy hair looks, today I am going to show you one of my favorites. The thing that makes this tutorial so different is the angle in which I am curling the hair. In the past, I have curled my hair with a 1.5-inch curling iron in a flat, horizontal angle. Today, I am curling my hair with the same 1.5-inch size but with the angle of the curl different. By keeping the curling iron at a diagonal angle (close to vertical but not fully), the look I create comes out completely different.

Ursula Andress is a classic beauty who is best known for her role as bond girl Honey Ryder in the James Bond film, “Dr. No.” Not only was she a famous actress, but she was also a model and a sex symbol in the 1960s. Ursula was known for both her beauty and her ability to “play it cool.” So, we thought it would be a great idea to recreate Ursula’s 60’s look on our model Holley Wolfe.
