Prince George, one of Britain’s best-dressed toddlers, is now 8 years old.. Like his mother, whenever little George makes a public appearance, his style choices often become a new trend and sell out within minutes on retailer websites (also known as the “Prince George effect”). So, to celebrate Prince George’s official 8th birthday, let’s take a look back at some of his most iconic and best fashion outfits.

Winter Coats and Jackets

This outfit was captured and shared on Twitter by his proud mum Duchess of Cambridge. Immediately, royal fans were keen to know where the little Prince’s jacket was from. This £30 quilted jacket, which sold out almost instantly after the tweet, features trendy elbow patches with an adorable attached hood. And, we have to say that the future King looks really good in this classic jacket design and his light blue backpack.

Still wanna buy into his style? The good news is you can now click here to get a range of cute toddler boy coats & jackets. Most of them are under $22, which is a decent price to pay to make your little cheeky chaps look like the future ruler of England.

Festive Sweater Vest

In Christmas 2014, the little prince showed up in a cute knitted sweater with guardsman motifs by British brand Cath Kidston. Guess what? People were freaking out over it, with thousands of parents heading online to purchase every last one. Since then, it has never been restocked at Cath Kidston.

Sunny Day Rompers

The little royal landed in Australia in style during his royal family’s official tour in 2014. In this picture, the one-year-old prince was caught hanging out with his mum in a smocked sailboat romper by Annafie, followed by a pair of cream T-bar shoes and white socks. This outfit not only looks so adorable but the white theme is also a perfect choice on a sunny day in Australia.

School Uniform Look With Navy Toddler Boy Shorts & Shirt

Continuing with the traditional 1940s school uniform look, little George not only embraced the attention but showed off his unique personality and style in a classic, button-down shirt short. The whole set always includes a pinstripe shirt, smart lace-up shoes, and his favorite navy toddler boy shorts.

Despite the traditional uniform look, George continued his iconic style on many trips with his family. In fact, George debuted his school uniform look with another checked shirt in a red & white gingham style in Hamburg or a blue short-sleeve shirt during his Berlin visit. Once again, Prince George proved to us that he has just as much fashion clout as his mother.

Special Occasion Outfits

During the Royal Tour in Canada, Prince George made a simple but strong appearance in a pair of red shorts and statement hosiery. Honestly, we think this is definitely some of his best special occasion outfits. Also, you may probably notice that our little prince wore these cute toddler boy shorts and hosiery on many events like the Victoria garden party.

George’s Casual Wear on His Third Birthday

Over the years, George has dressed up in formal, retro styles like knitted tank tops with shorts, and knee socks. Even though this outfit choice is very sweet and stylish, it’s still a little detached from the average toddler’s wardrobe. Luckily, in his third birthday official photographs, we were pleased to see the little prince dressed in casual cargo shorts, a striped tee, and a very covetable Breton jumper with whale graphics.

Prince George’s 8th Birthday Portrait Outfit

In the new birthday portrait, Prince George dressed casually in a striped blue and orange polo with a pair of navy shorts. Also, his blue and orange striped polo shirt from John Lewis is currently at only £10. Whether the future king has embraced casual styles like the rest of us during the lockdown, we’re still looking forward to seeing his outfit choices in the future.
