Rihanna’s Fenty Puma Line Launches Velvet Creepers
Monday feels less like Monday today thanks to the latest breaking news regarding Rihanna‘s, Victoria Beckham‘s and Kylie Jenner’s new ventures, with the former, of course, having to deal with the Fenty x Puma collection. Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma line is, in fact, about to launch brand new velvet Creepers, which are going to hit the stores on December 8th and online at puma.com.
Each pair of the velvet Puma Creepers is neither too expensive nor too affordable, as it retails at “only’ $150 USD. This is a little bit pricier than the original Creepers, which retailed at $120, but with velvet being a more luxurious fabric, it is easy to understand the reasons behind the additional charge (the latest Creepers in camo print, on the other hand, cost $150).
Available in three iconic colors, namely cement gray, burgundy and black, Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma velvet Creepers are probably going to sell out sooner than the previous ones launched so far, as velvet is one of this winter’s must-have motifs.
All the three colors feature a sophisticated ton-sur-ton midsole, as well as the classic Creeper figure, which has been one of the fashion industry’s trendiest topic ever since Rihanna’s Creepers hit the stores back in 2015 (not for nothing, Rihanna just became the first woman to win the Shoe of the Year Award). They also include waxed laces and metallic gold branding and, to make things even more luxurious, they got handcrafted in Italy.
Although being undeniably elegant, however, Rihanna’s take on velvet is a wearable design too, with this specific pair of Creepers being perfect for any event, whether it is formal or informal.
With burgundy and velvet magically addicting when paired together, we recommend compulsively checking Puma’s online store since the midnight of December 7th, since we predict this specific style to fly off the shelves the soonest. As it always happens with Kylie Jenner’s makeup kits, however, Rihanna’s velvet Creepers will surely get sold on eBay for significantly higher prices too, a practice that not only makes you break the bank, but also is risky, as they are often counterfeited.
Rumors are also spreading around the Internet regarding a few possible leather reworks, but both Rihanna and Puma have yet to confirm the news.
If you can’t have enough of Rihanna’s footwear creations, we also recommend having a look at her latest Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik capsule collection, for which the singer-turned-designer let Nineties signature motifs and R&B vibes collide to create something unique and, needless to say, already iconic.
