Banana Republic Holiday 2016 Party Collection Has Landed!
The Banana Republic holiday 2016 party collection, which is available at BananaRepublic.com, looks like several very grown up parties that would span from Thanksgiving to Christmas and finally a pretty great party on New Year’s Eve. The party goers in the very playful ad are French model Anais Mali, Shiki Rodriguez, Ben Shaul, Mathias Lauridsen, Nathaniel Dam, Nate Gil, Janis Ancens, Karolin Wolter, Maggie Rizer, Mathilde Brand, Caroline Brasch Nielsen, and Aubree Estrella.
The looks in the Banana Republic holiday 2016 collection vary from warm and cozy in a more intimate setting to party casual. Every image is full to the brim with style that shows off accessories including a wide variety of jewelry everywhere. Earrings, bracelets and necklaces peek out to glint merrily here and there throughout the ad campaign.
A shot designed to show off the coordinating possibilities of the separates also features a triple helping of very playful canine friends. The different materials included in the looks are fun and realistically festive with a cable-knit peach colored sweater for one that really stands out in the picture. The textures chosen are winter ready; this isn’t a holiday ad for people who only live in warm climates.
Banana Republic put in a lot of work to show multiple settings and multiple parties to give their holiday 2016 collection a realism that allows for most people to actually shop from the campaign. For example, ‘New Year’s Eve’ reminiscent party is full of dancing, glitter confetti, metallic gold and silver balloons and attire that is not only chic and sophisticated, but fun!
The image looks like it was taken at a moderately fun work party, where the clothing was required to be business casual. In this photo there are slacks and button downs for men and women. For the women the slacks and button downs are well beautifully accented by rolled up sleeves and the perfect amount of jewelry that enhances the outfit rather than causing it to be overpowered.
There is a pewter and silver flowing skirt that catches the light that sparkles off the metallic balloons and falling confetti as well, and an interesting black sweater with textured and embellished see-through sleeves. The men’s suit options were still casual, one with a tie, one without, casually unbuttoned at the top. Both men’s looks feature jackets, on a smooth blazer, the other ” a leather jacket.
As a brand, Banana Republic does cater to a specific sort of crowd and I believe that their ad campaign really delivers. We get close-ups of certain accessories and textures of clothing in intimate interpersonal shots and my personal favorites are the stair photo and the active party images.
