Givenchy Point D’Encrage Spring 2017 Makeup Collection
The newest Givenchy Point D’Encrage spring 2017 makeup collection is based on ink and watercolor paint, hence the name Point D’Encrage, which translates to “Point of Ink’. The collection was inspired by what ink symbolizes, as well as the look and feel of watercolor and how it can be translated into a makeup look. The collection is set to hit the Givenchy beauty counters and the online beauty retailers, such as Sephora, Harrods, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, in mid January 2017, just in time for updating your beauty kits for the upcoming season.
The use of these products will certainly be educational and many have already expressed an interest, if not a bit of hesitation about the upcoming collection that is designed to promote a delicacy and transparency when applied properly that watercolors are known for in paintings. Many of the current spring/ summer 2017 makeup trends, especially in the US favor bold, sultry and smoky looks, but the Givenchy Point D’Encrage 2017 collection should give way to a lot of interesting options and trends to come.
Givenchy Point D’Encrage Highlighter Memoire de Forme (‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√°¬¨¬Æ44.00) (Limited Edition)
This highlighter is designed for strobing and comes in a pink jelly (No. 01 Pink Ink). It features an iridescence provided by lightly tinted micro pearls. As a highlighter this pink jelly is interesting as it is 72% water-based, which will make it interesting to use, and give the desired watercolor effect that should still be colorful, but soft.

Givenchy Point D’Encrage Encre A Cils Mascara Top Coat (‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√°¬¨¬Æ29.00) (Limited Edition)
This is an interesting mascara option offered by Givenchy. The design and formula allows this to be used as eyeliner, but the main intention is as an intensifier for mascara. It is made for adding a boost of color, in this case a limited edition inky pearlescent blue (02 Blue Ink) to the mascara after it is applied. The formula is non-sticky and watery with an applicator designed to assist with accentuating the natural curve of the eyelashes.
Givenchy Point D’Encrage Huile Irresistible Pour Les Levres Lip Oil (‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√°¬¨¬Æ31.00) (Limited Edition)
Coming in 01 Fuchsia Ink, the lip oil is rich, nourishing and designed to keep lips hydrated, flexible and plump thanks to the vegan fatty acids in the formula. The oil is translucent, but pink, which shows up in watercolor fashion on the lips ” tinted, but definitely there.
Givenchy Point D’Encrage Le Vernis (‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√°¬¨¬Æ24.00) (Limited Edition)
The No. 31 Purple Ink is my second favorite option in this collection. While I have an affinity for purple, this is not a nail lacquer that I have in my personal collection ” and I want it. The color is limited edition, translucent but bright. Designed in similar fashion to others, the color will get brighter with application. The shine is rumored to be brilliant, and suggested use also includes using it as a dimension adding top coat to existing colors you may have.
