Giamba Spring/Summer 2017 Collection Features a Sweet Feline Allure
Giambattista Valli‘s Giamba spring/summer 2017 ready-to-wear collection was full of whimsy at Milan Fashion Week. The flouncy designs were clearly meant to be fun and light, though the youthful appearance of some of them was mixed with completely sheer materials. The designs are lovely and charismatic, different and unexpected. The difference with this line is that not only is it unexpected and different, but also beautiful and wearable. They styling included printed flats, anklets, glittery calf-high boots and ballet flats.
Fringed dresses and tops were a nice textural element that was unexpected and beautiful. The western touches found in the tops and collars were smoothly integrated against the printed pieces in different shades of rose and black and white. The floating layers of the sheer fabric adorned with ruffles and lace and trim were riveting to say the least, a compelling argument for the juxtaposition of textured versus smooth and printed versus plain.
The line was meant to be sexy with a clearly faux sense of innocence. The cartoon rosettes of a textured sheer dress perfectly matched the trim on the sleeves and collar of a bomber jacket that featured a greenish gold leopard-esque print.
The entire show was built around the Giambasttista Valli girl, his ideal customer, the Valli girl. The very obvious imaginative factor allowed the appearance of the show to be magnetic, riveting and youthful thanks to the cuts of the dresses and silhouettes of the combinations.
The desert scenes depicted on certain outfits were interesting and though the sequin appliques were unexpected they were not an unwelcomed addition. The black and white floral dress also has textured poufy sleeves for a great ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§sorta princess’ vibe but nothing beats the floor-length maxi.
Leopard print slip-on shoes work well with the pattern on the floor-length textured material with high collar and lined bib with ruffle cap sleeves. A silver and black desert printed bomber goes on top of a light pink embellished maxi dress and glittery slip-on shoes. The Giamba spring 2017 collection that was shown in Milan was inexcusably flirty and feminine and is already creating buzz.
A soft pink dress with voluminous sleeves and great pleating was also high necked with a bib detail, but the length of the skirt matched up with the end of the sleeves. The design is a great touch in showing that the Giamba spring/summer 2017 collection is about fun styling that does not take anything too seriously.
The leggings with a leopard face covers the pelvis in a contrasting color from the print, which has a gradient to it, going from bright yellow at the waist but goes down to a dark yellow, nearly black. The feline aesthetic was vibrant throughout the entire show.
