Alexa Chung Continues Her Collab With Longchamp Appearing In Fall 2016 Campaign
If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it! This appears to be Longchamp‘s philosophy for the next months, as the label continues its collaboration with It-girl and designer Alexa Chung. Alexa Chung is embracing her unique effortless style in the Longchamp fall 2016 campaign, captured by iconic fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh.
The trio has previously collaborated on the Longchamp spring/summer 2016 campaign too, where Alexa Chung was channeling her inner Parisian style, and photographer Lindbergh had one more chance to prove his terrific skills when it comes to balancing different colors and textures. As for the collaboration between Lindbergh and Longchamp, the duo has been joining forces for six years in a row now, officially becoming one of the steadiest partnerships in the entire fashion industry.
Not for nothing, the German photographer’s humanist approach to art is always about showcasing raw, natural beauty avoiding all stereotypes regarding editorial fashion photography. This idea led him to pioneer a new kind of photography, influencing other photographers too, who started to follow his approach of focusing on timeless, sophisticated images that were closer to photojournalism than fashion photography.
Longchamp has a similar approach to fashion, as illustrated within its collections. The brand never misses a chance to focus on timeless designs, while also injecting fancier, urban-chic vibes that create always-new iconic It-bags and fashion staples.
As for Alexa Chung, she is the epitome of artistic styles, while her natural beauty and classic yet edgy personal style perfectly represent the Longchamp fall/winter 2016 collection’s philosophy, which is about sophisticated and slightly glam-rock looks.
Shot at Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris, with hair and makeup styled by Odile Gilbert and Tom Pécheux respectively, the campaign features some of Longchamp’s must-haves for the upcoming seasons. In the photos we can see an animal-printed oversized fur coat, a minimalist striped sweater combined with a contrasting foulard, and a pair of high-heeled ankle boots combined with a glamorous fishnet stockings.
As Longchamp’s creative director Sophie Delafontaine revealed, the Longchamp FW 2016 rtw collection was created for a “woman who is in the city but has heard the appeal of nature and the forest.’ Stylist Alexis Roche’s unique touch is here unmistakable when it comes to the way the looks have been styled for the campaign, as they truly capture the essence of the collection.
The Longchamp fall 2016 campaign features another must-have protagonist that is making everyone run amok: Longchamp’s Pénélope tote bag. Crafted with the finest leather, the Pénélope tote bag features clean-cut edges and flared gussets, with tassels adding a unique touch to the entire structure. It is available in different colors, namely Ebene, Curry and Bleu, and already has its own shining place in the fashion industry.
