Kendall + Kylie Jenner’s Swimwear Line for Topshop Arrives
When the Kendall + Kylie Jenner for Topshop swimwear 2016 collection was announced back in April via the Jenner sisters’ Snapchat accounts and Instagram, with a mirror selfie no less, we were sure we were in for a treat, and now, we can finally see the fruits of their labor. Already selling out at Topshop.com, the 37-piece collection comprises Nineties-inspired one-piece swimsuits, skimpy bikinis and cover-ups, catering to everyone’s style needs for the beach season to come.
From universally flattering monochrome black and white designs to some glitter, color-blocking motifs and wild patterns, the line has it all to be a win-win venture both for the British retailer and the Jenners, who have previously teamed up with the brand multiple times and decided it’s high time to take over the $13 billion swimwear industry now. Inspired by their California roots, the collection bears distinctive LA beachy summer vibes, something the sisters have always been trying to capture, yet with their personal twist on it.
The use of neoprene materials and bright colors gives a certain sporty touch to the collection, while the metallics, strategic cut-outs and leopard patterns are there to appeal to glamour pursuers, who want to shine bright even on the beach. While Kendall‘s designs mostly focus on the silhouette and small details, like colors and cut-outs, Kylie‘s creations ooze the same self-confidence and sensuality her followers try to embrace.
Deciding to design a swimwear collection for Topshop was a new challenge for the sisters, who were looking for ways to evolve their experience while also having lots of fun in the process. As a result, the Kendall + Kylie 2016 swimwear collection for Topshop encompasses the latest swimwear trends spiced up with the reality stars’ personality and attitude, letting the big army of their followers, as well as Topshop customers borrow a piece of their signature styles.
Apparently, Kendall’s favorite designs are the minimalist one-piece bodysuits with certain ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§90s influences, coming in bright cobalt blue or timeless black this way capitalizing on the “less is more’ concept. Kylie, on the other hand, gives preference to two-piece bikinis, which come in a myriad of colors, trimmed with a black Kendall + Kylie tape detail on the top and the bottom for an added sporty feel.
The bright orange zip-up wetsuit-style top is perfect for mix and matching with the black or turquoise neoprene bikini bottom, also serving as a stylish crop top to be combined with your favorite denim shorts. The color-block bikini sets mimic this year’s trendy Triangl designs, while the edgy harness one-piece bears strong Agent Provocateur influences. Then again, the collection also features some lovely palm-print two-pieces and front cut-out swimsuits for those, who prefer more flirtatious, busy beach looks.
The metallic golden cut-out swimsuit is the go-to number for making heads turn at the poolside parties, while the mesh-insert monochrome bikini sets let you have fun while staying classy. In addition, the Kyle + Kendall swimwear line for Topshop brings in macramé fringed skirts and an animal-print maxi dress as the accompanying cover-ups for their bright, unique swimwear creations.
