Elisa Sednaoui for Massimo Dutti Summer 2016 Collection
Italian actress and model Elisa Sednaoui is the newest Massimo Dutti brand ambassador, appearing in the brand’s summer 2016 campaign to celebrate the label’s latest store inauguration. With an area covering 931 square meters, the newest Massimo Dutti store in Largo Chigi 64 is officially the largest one in Europe, and will let many brand followers lose themselves in its departments, surrounded by fashion for hours.
To fully mark such an imposing milestone, those at Massimo Dutti’s headquarters asked for photographer Mariano Vivanco (one of the world’s leading editorial photographers) to capture the collection’s campaign, suggestively dubbed ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§Ciao Roma’, which features both Elisa Sednaoui and Noah Mills (for the women’s and men’s campaigns accordingly).
The Massimo Dutti summer 2016 campaign also allowed the 28-year-old beauty, who grew up in North Italy, to discover another side of the Bel Paese, which greatly differs in terms of weather, landscape and traditional foods from one region to another. Her discovery is ours as well, and the way she treats Rome, as well as the way she expresses her attitude towards fashion throughout the campaign’s pictures will surely help many of you have a glimpse of La Bella Vita, for sure.
While capturing the campaign’s pictures, world traveler Vivanco combines Massimo Dutti’s outfits with some of the most artistic and evocative details one encounters while visiting Rome. All the images are linked with one another, and all of those architectural perspectives serve as an artistic expedient that recalls and accentuates the collection’s clean cuts and sharp lines.
The Massimo Dutti summer 2016 line-up is all about lines and cuts, which got highlighted by the color palette and the choice of fabrics. Aside from a few relaxed, lightweight earthy-toned proposals, the line-up is almost solely composed of white, ecru and black ensembles, made of raw textured materials, such as linen and poplin. Leather is to be found as well, especially in the range of the chunky-heeled sandals, crescent cross-bags and a few statement jewelry pieces as well.
As for the collection’s key-pieces, the entire line focused on highly sophisticated ensembles, which could be described as both simple and detailed. Although ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§less is more’ is clearly the signature motto at Massimo Dutti, most of the collection’s pieces feature delicate details that won’t go unnoticed for sure.
Let’s take, for instance, the long white poplin shirt with side slits and geometric cuts that balance the figure and are sure to make anyone look impeccable at the office or on a night out, or even the white wrap skirt with a flared cut, crossover tie closure that is both effortlessly chic and cozy-looking. Crepe suit jackets, along with textured weave waistcoats and ribbed t-shirts will be perfect for any high/low outfit combination, allowing your silhouette to stand out.
Lastly, if you are looking for evergreen pieces that could work with anything you already have in your closet, we recommend having a look at the crepe tailored trousers and the limited-edition suede trench coat, which is very likely to fly off the shelves pretty soon!
