Flower Power ” the Big Trend of Fendi’s Spring 2016 Campaign
Have you enjoyed the floral trends that have been sweeping through the fashion world for a while now, gaining immense popularity in 2015 and really keeping up the momentum into 2016, then you will absolutely love the new Fendi spring 2016 campaign, where giant flowers are the backdrop, even beyond the floral addition to the creations themselves. The flowers in the back came in various hues, including navy, red, and white, along with beige, powder pink, and brick brown. The models starring in this campaign are Edie Campbell (with a single d), the 25-year-old English model from Westbourne Grove, London, and latest discovery Vanessa Moody, the 20-year-old Mississippi native who has walked over a hundred shows to date, since her signing on with Women Management in 2013.
The girls are lovely and seem to really match the Fendi ideal, both with their looks and their posture, their manner of carrying the styles all the more intriguing. They are cool girls, plain and simple and they want the world to know about it. The Fendi spring/summer 2016 campaign was photographed by creative director Karl Lagerfeld, the focus of the lens being the eclecticism that pervades the whole of the latest collections for this year. While it is the year of the fire monkey, fashion seems to be following its own trends and vying for a more peaceful and perhaps even weed-driven design style instead. Billowing dresses and high-waist trousers worn by gorgeous models before extra-large flowers seem pretty hallucinatory to us, after all.
Some of the best looks from the campaign itself include those sexy round lens and cat eye frame designs, while other accessories include jewelry and a rather lovely looking white banded watch among the fray. There are long dresses with leather style over armor that kind of look like an olden day bulletproof vest, ankle strapped gladiator shoes, side cut-out party looks in stark white, with conveniently placed pockets for maximum fun in maximum chic, and so much more.
We love the retro style mini hemmed cape dress, while the focus is placed on quite a bit of texture come those leather mini dresses that are matched with bone hue leather handbags, with double handles and lots of flowers on the strap. As for patterning, well, we knew that optical illusions and quite eye-catching looks would be in style. Why not invest in a dress that looks like chains in the ocean, while holding a flower power handbag throughout the rest of the day.
