Giorgio Armani Launches Year of Monkey Face Palette for 2016
Based on astronomical observations of the moon’s phases and the sun’s longitude, the lunisolar Chinese calendar keeps on charming many non-Chinese citizens as well. Celebrating the Chinese calendar has become a more common practice all over the world, and many artists, designers and beauticians like to pay homage to the New Chinese Year, too. Among them, Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani is joining the celebrations, launching an exclusive and limited-edition Year of Monkey Face Palette for 2016.
The most famous part of the Chinese calendar is, in fact, that of the animals, since the Chinese animal zodiac is a repeating cycle of 12 years with each year standing for a certain animal, namely Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig. While this 2015 was blessed under the sign of the goat, 2016 will be the year of Monkey (mine was that of the Dragon!).
Starting from February 8th, 2016, this forthcoming year of the Monkey will last up until January 27th 2016, and those who will be born under this sign are said to be smart, lively and quick-witted. According to the calendar, it also means that we could very likely expect a year full of surprises and solutions to old problems.
The Italian luxury beauty brand is celebrating these characteristics with a makeup case decorated in the traditional colors of China on the outside, and with a stylized monkey imprinted into a compact illuminating powder on the inside. The powder features a natural sheer covering, as the popular and upcoming ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§au naturel’ trend demands.
The Giorgio Armani Monkey Face Palette for 2016 comes in a nude satin hue and with two different types of light-reflecting pearls to enhance illuminating effects, meaning also that it is (almost) perfect for all skin tones. Its gentle coverage will also make it possible to let the skin breathe during both summertime and winter, treating us with a refined yet fresh look. Moreover, its two-toned case comes in vermilion red and shiny black, with the two Chinese symbols representing Fortune and Luck engraved on the vermillion top.
With its highly sophisticated packaging and versatile formula, Giorgio Armani’s Monkey Palette definitely represents a good way to start off this upcoming year. Although the palette will be mainly sold in the Asian countries, it will be available in Europe and in the United States as well. Priced at ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√°¬¨¬Æ85, it will be sold from January 2016 at select retailers, like Nordstrom. If you want to properly celebrate this thrilling New Year with a touch of luxury, Giorgio Armani’s new face palette might be the best option!
