Topshop’s Resort 2016 Collection Goes for Sale
One of Britain’s most sold brands, Topshop has finally released its resort 2016 collection, and you can already buy your favorite piece from the line-up on Topshop.com. It went for sale on November 4, and features a lot of appealing pieces. This resort 2016 collection consists of dandy looking pieces, including velvet suits and leather dresses, at times alternated by floral printed dresses, and metallic fabrics, but also classic cuts by Geoffrey Finch, Topshop’s creative design consultant.
Finch, who works close to Kate Phelan, Topshop’s creative director, made it possible to combine his passion for the London streetstyle with Phelan’s unconditional love for dandy looks, which get mixed with a strong ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§80s attitude in this latest resort collection. That’s why the line-up features such a great variety of prints, fabrics and cuts, and looks like a journey through Soho’s nightlife world.
The most impressive piece is probably the Mayal Shift dress that comes to portray the most sophisticated fashion styles form the ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§80s. It features a deep V cut on the back and lateral pockets. Made of a crushed velvet fabric, it does stand out among Topshop’s other items. To go the whole hog, Topshop even designed a Mayal skirt, perfect for those who are not that fond of that whole crushed velvet look.
Lovely floral patterns adorn feminine Nehru collar dresses, which give this resort collection a more boho-chic allure. Such flowers grow even on some fitted leather mini dresses and skirts, the delicacy of which reminds us what the ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§80s must have looked like in London during daytime. At nighttime, such a period of time is represented by Topshop’s furry items, such as the shearling jacket embellished with a leopard printed design.
Vintage inspired animal prints go further with their purpose offering a handful of boyish tailored skirts with classic full-length placket meant to be combined with Topshop’s paneled ankle boots. However, if you are looking for a pair of shoes to show off at your New Year Eve’s party, look for Topshop’s high Wardour sandals, as their soft leather and strap crisscross design are sure to win anyone’s heart.
High-waist jumpsuits and button-up skirts help recreate a more sophisticated ‚Äö√Ñ√∂‚àö√ë‚àö‚â§80s style, while the Topshop resort 2016 collection’s high leather boots and tweed mini dresses are more suitable for those who are looking for a more neutral, out-of-time look. Moreover, mock necks play a huge role within the collection, and perfectly resemble Finch’s idea of a sophisticated London streestyle, which combines comfort with style. With its price tags that range from less than ¬¨¬®¬¨¬£100 to more than ¬¨¬®¬¨¬£500, Topshop’s resort 2016 collection will in all probability go sold out pretty soon.
