The Prices of the Balmain x H&M Collection Revealed
The mystery is over! The prices of the Balmain x H&M fall 2015 collection have been finally revealed, and now we just have to wait for it to hit the stores and digital shelves on November 5th. As predictable as it sounds, this is not H&M’s cheapest collaboration, with even a few pieces surpassing $500. However, there are many jewelry pieces under $20, as well as many items under $100, which, if not properly defined as cheap, are anyways way cheaper than the average Balmain collection.
As we have already stated a few days ago, the Balmain x H&M collection features many statement pieces, from glittering dresses (like the limited edition dress Gigi Hadid wore to a NYFW party, which will be soon available for $649) to biker pants and jackets. The collection is in perfect Balmain’s style, and may be simply described as a triumph of geometrically embellished patterns, structured cuts and delicate cascades of sequins and glitter. Even the jewelry pieces look like they have been designed by European’s best art dec‚Äö√†√∂‚Äö√¢¬ß artists.
Just like all the previous H&M designer collaborations, we already know all the pieces of the #HMBalmanation collection will fly off the shelves as soon as the stores open their doors on November 5th. Therefore, we decided to show you some of the collection’s must-haves, along with their prices, to let you choose your favorite item before the collection hits both H&M’s brick-and-mortar stores and online shelves.
The collection features some good pair of trousers, from skinny pants to some more loose-looking ones, embellished with lateral golden zips, which definitely are the collection’s hallmark. We love the black-and-white striped skinnies that retail for $99, however, if you are looking for a stylish pair of bell-bottoms trousers, you should consider buying a pair for $129, getting stylish pants with geometrical designs and perfectly tailored lines that instantly remind of the fashion house’s aesthetic.
When thinking about an haute couture brand like Balmain meeting a fast-fashion store like H&M, it is hard to imagine what their perfect item would look like. Thanks to his ability to mix modernity with high fashion, however, Balmain’s creative director managed to create some perfect biker jackets, which skillfully combine H&M’s passion for glam rock outfits and Balmain’s elegance and passion for structured cuts. These jackets available for $399 have thus been adorned with golden studs and appliqués, and give the collection an extremely sensual, as well as contemporary, boyish look.
Those who are looking for some more classic styles may opt for the sophisticated double and single-breasted jackets paying from $99 to $199 depending on the style you choose, while the fur coats and the ones adorned with ethnic motifs come at the price tags of $129, $149 and $499.
Skirts and Dresses
Balmain’s skirts and dresses line mixes sophisticated cuts and colorblock contrasts, front slits and draped lines, deep V-necklines and body-hugging silhouettes. While longuette skirt with black and white contrasting patterns maybe the most affordable option in this range available for $59,99, be ready to pay $99 for the red wrap skirt, and up to $649 for the wildly embellished and sexy mini dresses.
Tops and T-Shirts
Balmain x H&M T-shirts may not be the collection’s coolest pieces, but their simple cuts and lines may be interesting for those, who are looking for some casual items. With their loose/boyfriend cuts and solid-colored fabrics, the T-shirts are also pretty affordable coming at $34.99. However, the collection includes also some solid-colored draped tops and striped shirts, which look absolutely elegant and are available at $129 and $69.99 accordingly.
As already mentioned, this collaboration features a lot of sequins and glitters. The glittering cascade has above all hit the great amount of clutches, handbags and accessories, which give the collection its luxurious feel. The sparkling pouches are available for $34.99, while the wanna-have emerald green bag comes at $299.
Like the clothing line, the jewelry and accessory lines play with geometric designs and golden backgrounds, creating some high fashion looking items that are basically perfect for the everyday modern woman, who loves to add a touch of glamour to her daily outfit. Along with gold, most of the jewelry pieces have been adorned with lavish-looking gemstones, mainly in emerald green and white, and colored diamonds. To make sure the collection looked luxurious enough, Rousteing has even designed a pair of golden headphones that are available for $49.99. In the accessory line you can also find some low-budget hats and sunglasses!
