Jourdan Dunn for Pepe Jeans Fall/Winter 2015-2016 Campaign
We ask the attention of all Rock ‘n’ roll fans! A brand new fashion line from the youthful high street brand Pepe Jeans London has arrived for you to update your extremely cool looks for the cold season. You were most probably obsessed by the campaigns of the latest lines from this brand with the thick-browed beauty Cara Delevingne starring in them. This time a bold group of British models has come to replace her in the Pepe Jeans fall/winter 2015-2016 advertising campaign named “Always London’. Lensed by the famed fashion photographer Glen Luchford, the images feature top models Sam Rollinson, Jourdan Dunn, Flo Kosky and Hollie May Saker, who is a familiar face from the latest River Island fall 2015 campaign. The black and white pictures showcase the models in trendy and cool denim pieces from Pepe Jeans’ latest collection styled by Charlotte Stockdale.
First thing that we cannot but mention about this campaign is that we absolutely like the girls’ diversity. Looking at the pictures any of us can find a favorite to go for; also, we can see the numbers on various skin and body types, which ensures the clearer image. The few but worthy colorless pictures are taken in a modern, minimalist house decorated with a fluffy carpet, leather furniture and wide windows, which serve as highlighting factors for the pieces. We like the skinny, straight denim pants, jackets and chambray shirts that go with almost any outfit. There are also monochrome linen overall buttoned shirt suits, lightweight long-sleeve dresses with geometrical and rain patterns on them, polka dotted shirts and short black A-line tube skirts with diagonal front zipper. The line has fabulous boots to go with your favorite rockstar looks: suede boots with laces and thin high heels, black lacquer boots and suede boots on medium heel are some of the cool footwear options you can wear every day and stay chic and comfy. Interesting complements to these pieces are the black dotted tights, which make your simple and easy looks a little edgy with loads of character.
The makeup and hair of the models are kept natural and carefree without overly crazy solutions: just a little definition and you are ready to go. For a playful edge some male models appear here and there in the pictures lying on the furry carpet next to Sam and Flo with a guitar in one of the boys’ hands. In another picture, Sam sits next to a guy on a staircase inside the building looking as if she was suddenly taken aback by someone from the photographer’s side.
Though the idea quite much comes to our liking, we have to say that the pictures are a little gloomy. We sometimes end up overlooking the same picture to figure out what it shows, which is of course not a good thing from the point of view of marketing. Anyway, we think the Pepe Jeans fall 2015 campaign is a success, because we cannot but resist marveling at the super simple, easy numbers that it highlights, having the strong desire to quickly obtain some of them.
