Stella McCartney Resort 2016 Collection
A resort wardrobe just would not be the same without a Stella McCartney piece among the gorgeous outfits. There is something about the designer that appeals to our senses completely, in a manner, which defies logic. That is how good the designs are. As such, the Stella McCartney resort 2016 collection reveal gives us great joy, particularly when we realize that the color palette is one of the best among the resort collections presented to date. There is such optimism in the color scheme, in the energetic designs and the entirely lovely sort of fashion style we see.
The theme this time was Cuba, which automatically has us thinking of some awesome 5 star resorts with personal cabins and butler services to check out. After all, what is a vacation if it is not for maximum relaxation? During the Elizabeth Street garden party at which her pieces were shown off, there were stilt walkers, Latin dancers and a whole lot of celebrities. Tailored shirts falling into sarong style wraps graced the bodies of the models, bringing in the magic of a day and night at the beach. Floral designs looked incredible on sundresses with hems both long and short, as well as a navy blue pantsuit that was so very much out there.
There were trapeze dresses that looked interesting with the mesh skirts falling to around the ankles, while the wraparound styles of the sarong ends, were sexy as expected with the plunging necklines and a whole lot of leg shown off. Black and blushing pink, white and navy blue, aquatic hues and orange accents all appeared throughout the collection. Tropical coloring and the floral prints also make an appearance, though they mostly appear to be wildflowers from along the English coasts. The collection has an interesting edge to it, with all types of different pieces that keep to the relaxed ideal that a resort collection should have, while also presenting a classy, more attractive tailoring overall.
What we particularly love is the plunging necklines that appear all over. They have a sweetly attractive lining to them, a lovely view of chest without it becoming overtly sensual. A good amount of skin is shown off without going over the top and that is the loveliest view of a silhouette that is always a trademark of the Stella McCartney brand. Add lacy embroidery, longer sleeves and no sleeves at all, cute little hole punched images and awesome tailored suits with trousers that make a professional always feel like the CEO she is. Some culottes among the mix add flavour and fun, while the midi skirts all over, mixed with the maxis, offer a feminine touch with e conventional twist. Then again, we cannot think of many designers who would place stallions along the hem of a maxi dress. The fan like mini dress however, we can totally see wearing on our honeymoon cruise coming up, along with that backless sunshine yellow maxi flowing away from the body.
