There are not many that could rival the glamour and the spectacle of the Cannes Film Festival and 2015 was no different. It has brought some of the best red carpet moments in the past and it certainly continues to keep us perfectly captivated. The best thing about the these events is seeing the Fashion Week creations worn in public, off the runway and on individuals who we are used to seeing on the screen on a constant basis. Here are some of the best and most interesting Cannes Film Festival 2015 celebrity dresses we’ve encountered on the red carpet in the past day, with the French city brimming with actresses galore, looking all the more lovely in their incredibly designed fashion statement gowns.

Lupita Nyong’o

Lupita has certainly been making big splashes in the fashion side of the red carpet world, this time appearing in a frilly pleated green dress with a plunging neckline that reveals her sculpted chest and floral accents that turn this Gucci dress into something fit for the fairies of the meadows. Her Chopard jewellery only had her looking even more glamorous, while we enjoyed her prettier look alongside the ladies who opted to go for the sexy illusion.

Doutzen Kroes

If anyone on that red carpet looked positively incredible, it was certainly Doutzen Kroes, the Victoria’s Secret Angel that stunned the world in her white side split Atelier Versace gown at the Cannes Film Festival. She may no longer be an Angel, but we sure still think of her as a heavenly creature, this dress only strengthening our views of her as a truly incredibly ethereal goddess. The single shoulder look, the split down sideways across her chest and her Chopard jewellery have certainly captivated our senses and we shall now be comparing all to Kroes.

Sienna Miller

Navy blue looked great on the pale skin of Sienna Miller, though we were expecting something a little warmer to play up the fact that we are currently in warmer spring weather. She entered the festival in a lovely trained Lanvin gown, single shoulder strapped with lots of ruffles on that side, her feet clad in black sandals with a matching pedicure. Hair up and pearly dangling earring were a nice touch, along with the bright red lipstick.

Julianne Moore

The 54-year-old actress looked positively gorgeous in her Armani Prive gown with the short train and plunging neckline, her demure shawl thrown over her outfit doing little to conceal her sensuality. She is among the ladies who were considered stunners at the festival and with good reason! She may be short at 5’3′, but Moore has got all the sass that her younger counterparts are newly developing.

Karlie Kloss

If we are talking about stunners, Karlie Kloss is not to be overlooked. On the contrary, we might overlook all others but focus our attentions on the likes of Karlie Kloss, that is how amazing she looked last night. She wore Atelier Versace that was a cross between ankle cropped pants and a dress itself, the bust covered with a bandeau type piece and then there was the whole cut out in a halter dress feel to it. The shimmering silver was also reflected in the shoes and we found ourselves entirely too engrossed in her fashion sense.

Naomi Watts

Feathers, feathers everywhere! Naomi Watts walked onto the red carpet in a pretty Elie Saab Couture gown with a long train, though we wonder if it was meant for her. It just seemed to not be the right fit, despite the dress’s incredible beauty with its shimmering grey self, the plunging neckline, short sleeves and feathery skirt. The Bulgari jewellery was certainly a great addition to bring the eyes to the center of the chest.

Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman appeared on the red carpet looking even more on the red side than the ground she was walking on. She was wearing Dior in all its glory, though it appeared a little shapeless for our tastes, knowing just how lovely Portman’s body could look in something a little more defined. The slit in the back certainly gave it some character, but it seemed out of character since that has certainly not been a trend for this year. The triangular strapless neckline was also rather intriguing, though somehow had her chest looking slightly flatter than it actually is. From the side though, the dress certainly held some merit and she looked stunning on the arm of her husband, Benjamin Millepied.

Hofit Golan

The belle of the ball and princess in disguise was most certainly Hofit Golan, wearing her Jean Fares Couture ball gown, the sheer back with the row of black buttons giving it a steamy, sexy, sultry edge. Her organza tulle and black lace embroidery make her one of the prettiest girls in town in Cannes at this point.

Noemie Lenoir

She may be nice and pregnant, but Noemie Lenoir is not one to forgo her fashion sense, opting for a very loose Chloe dress with a longer back and higher front, a plunging neckline and open sides revealing the fact that outside of that belly, our lovely lady has gained not a single pound! The yellow flimsy look certainly suited the French model and actress of mixed heritage.

Aymeline Valade

Whereas some of the ladies were there with big bellies and baby expectations, others like Ayemeline Valade were looking very thin and possibly even slightly haggard. The French actress looks better with her hair down we think, but that Ulyana Sergeenko Couture dress was simply breathtaking with its tight fit, the asymmetrical skirt, lacy bust, spaghetti straps and even the tanzanite coloring. That was one dress we could certainly grow to love.
