With the warm season upon us, some of us are looking for a pretty prom makeup tutorial, while those cutie brides-to-be are on the hunt for a sensual bridal makeup look. This deep purple smokey eye makeup tutorial will help you get ready for any summer party, so get your makeup tools and follow the steps to copy the look!
That’s a well-known makeup rule that you should keep the rest of your face as soft and natural as you can when wearing smokey eye makeup. It helps you create a well-balanced look, putting the focus on your beautiful eyes, which get nicely complemented with the warm accents placed on the rest of your features. In this look as well, we have tried to stick to this rule pairing this deep purple eye makeup with a nude lipstick color and a warm peach blush added to the cheekbones. Keep your hair loose and straight to hit the party of the season or go for a lovely updo when wearing it on your Big day.
What you’ll need to do this makeup is:
• Makeup base, foundation, concealer
• Peach blush
• Eyebrow kit
• Eye primer
• Brown eye pencil
• Eyeshadows in purple tones
• Glittery purple pigment
• Black gel eyeliner
• Black mascara
• False eyelashes
• Nude lipstick and a lip-gloss
• Makeup brushes
Step 1: Whether it’s your prom party, wedding day or a date night, your primary goal is to create the illusion of the perfect skin, even if you normally have some small blemishes that irritate you. Wash you face, apply a toner and after a few minutes apply the makeup base. Next, apply a high-coverage foundation blending it well and making your way to the neckline as well to create a uniform look. Use concealer on the problem areas and finally set your makeup applying a loose powder. Define your beautiful facial features using a soft peach blush on your cheekbones and you’re done with the basic and most important step.
Step 2: Defining your eyebrows is the next important step to creating a picture-perfect look. Use the best eyebrow kit for you and fill in your eyebrows giving a nice shape to them. We have used Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade, which is one of the best products in the beauty industry for creating beautiful eyebrows.
Step 3: Prime your lids (Too Faced Shadow Insurance) to prepare them for the eye makeup. Define the outer V of your eye with a brown eye pencil and gently smudge the line for a softer look. Apply different shades of purple eyeshadow over the line your have drawn starting with the darker color and ending with the lightest shade.
Step 4: On the mobile lid apply a purple eyeshadow as a base (ABH Opaline Eyeshadow). Then apply a glitter primer over the purple shade and a glittery purple pigment over this.
Step 5: Accentuate your lower lid applying the same purple eyeshadow you have used on the mobile lid. To add more drama to your purple smokey eye makeup, apply black gel eyeliner to your waterline (Inglot AMC Gel Eyeliner 77).
Step 6: Apply a few coats of black mascara and go for false eyelashes to make your look even more smouldering. Last but not least, finish your makeup with a nude lipstick and a transparent lip-gloss applied over it.
Creating smokey eye looks is quite easy even though this particular look might seem a little complicated at first sight. You simply need to stick to the correct color coordination, blending the shades well for a uniform look. When deciding to copy this makeup for important events, make sure you practice a little in advance to make it perfect when the day arrives!
