Chloe Fall/Winter 2015-2016 Collection – Paris Fashion Week
How lovely the Chloe woman is when she saunters into the limelight wearing her Chloe dress and clutching onto her Chloe handbag! “It’s about bringing out our inner femininity,’ said Keller talking about the beautiful Chloe fall/winter 2015-2016 collection. She looks chic and sophisticated, with individual character and complete confidence. She carries herself with dignity and this season she loves to throw on a mock tie over nearly every outfit she dons. This season, she’s not afraid to show some skin; whether she has decided to forgo a shirt under her blazer or has her dress or blouse cut with a plunging deep V-neckline, she’s baring her chest to the world. She certainly loves her thigh slits as well, as she sashays onto stage wearing a dress, a skirt or a long jacket over a mini dress with a cert clear view of the legs through the fabric that either flaps open or has been slashed up the thigh. Speaking about baring legs, the Chloe woman loves her skirts in a mini or shorter midi length, rarely passing the knees unless it decides to fall in a full-length gown or skirt. Otherwise, think of the Chloe little black or white dresses as ending about mid-thigh for maximum exposure while still ensuring a good amount of coverage.
The French fashion house founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, a woman who brought the idea of ready-to-wear fashions to fashion houses everywhere. Initially it had all been haute couture but the Chloe vision was different, a characteristic of the house that has made it so popular among the stars as well, including Marion Cotillard, Sienna Miller, Madonna, Cameron Diaz, Emma Stone and Katie Holmes, among many others. By forgoing the stiff formality of the 1950s fashions, the Chloe line brought to women everywhere off the rack, high quality and soft bodied pieces while utilizing fine fabrics and shaping each piece to fit the female silhouette perfectly. Givenchy was the first to follow suit and that’s where we see the incredible similarities in perfect designs when it comes to these top houses in France.
While many of the designers seen on the Paris Fashion Week runway had multiple awkward pieces or were sometimes just way out of this world, the Chloe fall/winter 2015-2016 collection meets our expectations and has us thinking about work attire as well as date outfits. Of course, we may not particularly wear everything on the list, but we do love the 1970s and the denim on denim looks are intriguing enough to have us planning our casual day to day outings with these pieces worn. Then again, one or two of the outfits within the collection somewhat remind us of nightgown slips, with the lace edging and freely falling material. Yet there are those that we have fallen for, such as the white mini dress with the long sleeves round neck, slightly cinched waist and light pleating, completed with black knee high boots in leather and a matching handbag for the perfect look that meets the season’s black and white trend with a good amount of gusto.
