Grammy Awards 2015 Red Carpet Fashion
On February 8, 2015, the 57th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony was held in Los Angeles and attended by some of the biggest stars in the music industry. It is a long-awaited event that nominates and awards the top individuals in Country, New Age, Latin, Rap, Reggae, Rock, Pop, R&B, and World Music, among so many others, also taking into account composers and producers, while awarding the best in music videos available for the year. It is also a night where fashion shines bright among the stars, with comments about Katy Perry’s look on the red carpet, alongside Rita Ora, Lady Gaga and Hollywood’s best and sweetest offerings in the guide of superstar women.
The night may have been full off men taking home the statues that prove they are the best in their category, but it was the women who really rocked the world with their incredible talents and outstanding fashion sense. While Carrie Underwood took home the title of Best Country Solo Performance, Ariana Grande received Producer of the year among many others for “Bang Bang’, “Break Free’ and “Problem’. Beyoncé grabbed the award for Best Surround Sound Album while also taking home a few titles for her song “Drunk in Love’ featuring Jay Z. At the end of the day though, the manner in which these ladies arrived to the awards ceremony has caught the attention of the media more so, with Rihanna stunning the whole of the crowd and the rest of the world watching her glide in wearing a beautiful strapless frothy gown. We’ve been watching them all and know their incredible looks deserve a mention, at the least! Check out the impressive Grammy Awards 2015 red carpet fashion and some of the best and worst dressed celebrities, who made an appearance yesterday night!
Rihanna at Grammy Awards 2015
Couture gowns have certainly found a new niche market and Giambattista Valli gowns are now a common appearance on the red carpet. Rihanna sent the world reeling with her gorgeous frothy Giambattista Valli number with a high empire waist and strapless design, almost like a jewelled pink bandeau over her bust before allowing the featherweight voluminous fabric to cascade to the floor in two main layers. Chopard jewels added a touch of elegance to the whole of the look, while her tactfully placed tattoos were bared for the world to see. It was the perfect look for Rihanna, a woman who certainly enjoys having all comment about her fashion etiquette after each awards ceremony or premiere show attended. Once again, she is the most talked about celebrity on the red carpet from last night’s Grammy Awards. We’re just wondering how many seats she needed in order to be able to sit down finally for that dress alone would take up at least 2 or 3.
Taylor Swift at Grammy Awards 2015
We are head over heels in love with Elie Saab couture designs and find ourselves positively enchanted with Tailor Swift. So when the singer/actress walks out onto the red carpet in the most beguiling of Elie Saab dresses, complete with purple Giuseppe Zanotti heels and jewelry by Lorrain Schwartz and Ofirapave, we know that we have stumbled upon a gem of a fashion statement. We’re talking mini hem in front with a pleated voluminous train opening up in a V design, while the halter style top finds itself with a second set of straps revealing a sliver of skin at the collar and the sides of the shoulders while also ensuring a rather intriguing look overall. Tailor swift is gorgeous as is, but an Elie Saab dress certainly makes her shine bright against the night sky.
Beyoncé at Grammy Awards 2015
She’s the queen of music and she took home multiple awards last night. What’s more, she took to the red carpet looking like the strong curvy woman we know her to be, proud in stance and radiant in demeanour. She arrived in a sexy Proenza Schouler dress, complete with the season’s trends of deep V plunges to the top of the abdomen and lacy fabric, which allows skin to peek through sheer sections, captivating the audience around the one wearing the garment. Lorraine Schwartz jewels adorned her dainty fingers and her ears, completing the glamorous look she opted for this time around.
Miley Cyrus at Grammy Awards 2015
I think we finally started falling back in love with Miley Cyrus but are still half afraid she’s going to throw off her sexy dresses and walk around perfectly naked at the next show. The deep V plunge of the lovely full-length slip dress is to be expected with the trends, while we have also seen a good amount of cut-outs in awkward places, including at the hipbone and now at the sides of the tops of the knees. The Alexandre Vauthier dress looked amazing on the beautiful music artist, while her more sophisticated outlook has us wondering if she is finally ready to put her wild way behind her and embrace a more lady-like approach to her music. While we love to hear her voice, watching her strip on screen can make the best of us cringe with wide eyes. This classier but perfectly sexy look is more suited for someone with such an amazing musical talent.
Katy Perry at Grammy Awards 2015
It appears as if the Lebanese designers that have entered the Western couture world are also to be represented on the red carpet these days, with Katy Perry wearing a lovely midi length translucent Zuhair Murad dress with strappy pearly sandals and sporting purple hair. The monochrome colors are in now and she’s opted for the more colorful hues from the trending hairstyles. There’s something rather perfect about the sheer design of the dress that appears modest if not for the fact that you see much of the body’s silhouette in color underneath. It’s certainly a great look for the famed singer, who has got the women of the world feeling just a bit more confident in who they are.
Gwen Stefani at Grammy Awards 2015
If you want something entirely different on the red carpet and whole that adds a touch of sexy to bold female, characterizing strength and passion while sticking to the fashion trends of the season, look no further than Gwen Stefani as she stunned onlookers in her amazingly beautiful Atelier Versace jumpsuit. It’s all about the waves for the couture collection here and the jumpsuit with the cropped hem and low-heeled pumps looked perfect. Chic, sophisticated and sexy all at once, Gwen Stefani had one of the best outfits of the night.
Jessie J. at Grammy Awards 2015
English singer and songwriter Jessie J. sported a beautiful short-sleeved heavily black stone embroidered sheer garment by Ralph & Russo, complete with a long train, cinched waist and high round collar. The dress itself appears to be a sexy bustier and body combined with a sheer skirt, reminiscent of an abstract floral pattern around the chest area and balancing out the demure with the sexy so perfectly. It is, without a doubt, in line with the modern trends in evening gowns, especially showcased in the Paris Couture Fashion Week collections.
Kim Kardashian at Grammy Awards 2015
An oiled up body, a contoured face, mid length dark wavy hair and a whole lot of skin peeking out from under an ultra-sexy Jean Paul Gaultier creation as she walks in on the arm of hubby Kanye West. Kim Kardashian looked as captivating as ever, diverting the media attention to her scandalous choice of dress that looks as if it is kept together by a thin belt. It appears to be a glamorous boxer’s robe moreso than a Grammy dress, but then again, we are talking about Kim Kardashian’s fashion sense; she likes to do things a little different.
Ariana Grande at Grammy Awards 2015
There is no question that Ariana Grande looked positively stunning on the red carpet during the Annual Grammy Awards ceremony last night. On the contrary, she looked perfect, which with the high side slit in her white Versace gown, complete with detailing on silver mesh along one side. The high neckline had a cut-out underneath in a triangular fashion along the bust, all in all the look lending her body enough exposure without appearing to be distasteful in the least. The high ponytail and the choker necklace were perfect additions to complete the look, while the tastefully applied makeup cannot be faulted in any way. Ariana Grande looked positively outstanding and deserves to be recognized for the fashion style she so clearly understands.
Madonna at Grammy Awards 2015
We had a dominatrix gladiator arrive in the stead of the famed Madonna it appeared as she stepped onto the red carpet in a fashionable battle garment created by Riccardo Tisci for the Givenchy couture collection, complete with a mini dress look and thigh high lace leading to leather open toe heeled boots. Add fishnet stockings, a sexy lace bust corset, lacy tunic style and embroidered shoulder pads and you have one look that’s perfectly out of this world. The gloves match the boots, while the funky black hat has a half veil that was a common trend among the couture fashion shows of late. Madonna might just be changing the fashion side of the BDSM world for good!
