Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2015 Collection
The Prabal Gurung pre-fall 2015 collection brings back the creative director’s thoughts of his native highlands of Nepal, as well as cites several other sources, including Robert Mapplethorpe’s tulips and Korean artist Lee Ufan creative installation at Versailles that the designer was much impressed with. As a result he unveiled an array of classy and elegant pieces drenched in abstract floral patterns, graphics and a mix of bold colors. Gurung managed to create an image based on the combination of a stone and a flower, where flower was easily recognizable appearing in the form of patterns and embroidery on dresses, coats and skirts, while the stone stood for the use of elegance evoking fabrics and silhouettes.
The entire Prabal Gurung pre-fall 2015 collection comes imbued with classic shades of black, white and red that are accompanied by blues, grays, yellows, graphic and floral patterns. The shapes are clean and perfectly tailored with lots of emphasis placed on the modernity, sensuality and elegance of the designs. Surprisingly enough the collection manages to carry various styles perfect for different occasions and moods. The elegant business lady has a few pairs of polished black pants coming matched with languid blouses, kimono-like tops and structured coats with abstract graphic patterns. For the bolder business ladies trying to liven up their office looks there is the pair of checkered pants that comes matched with a knee-length black dress with an interesting dotted pattern on the front. That pair of eye-popping red tailored pants teamed with a loose white blouse and a checkered cape is sure to triumph at the office and not only.
On the other hand, there is a range of stylish offerings for those praising femininity in looks. Whether monochrome or printed, brightly colored or neutral, mini or knee-length, with or without sexy high slits these Prabal Gurung dresses are worth investing in if you want to radiate timeless classiness wherever you go.
The Prabal Gurung pre-fall 2015 collection has all your eveningwear cravings covered too, as here we discover several cocktail dresses and evening gowns with interesting patterns, designs and 3D effects, like in case of that bustier style mini dress where threaded chiffon has been used for a feathery effect. A see-through blue lace design looks simply out of this world, while the little black dress with big white floral prints can become a timeless staple for perfect party looks. The closing look is simply to-die-for: it’s a fabulous duo of a high-waisted ball skirt and a white cropped top with the same feathery appliqués.
