Monique Lhuillier Bridal Fall/Winter 2015-2016 Collection
When bridal fashion meets ballerina elegance, we have what the ethereal Monique Lhuillier bridal fall/winter 2015-2016 collection is composed of: extremely delicate silhouettes, gorgeous princess and trumpet gowns, embellished with lavish embroidery and fine Chantilly lace. For her stunning fall 2015 bridal line, the talented designer looked to a ballerina pirouetting in a jewelry box for inspiration, the result of which is an array of mind-blowing, refined long gowns and mini dresses meant to make you the ultimate queen of your own big party.
The play with delicate color accents is one of the primary details we notice in the Monique Lhuillier bridal fall/winter 2015-2016 collection. Besides the traditional white shade, we saw beautiful interpretations of Champagne tones, aquamarine, peach, gold and lavender, which gave a modern feel and freshness to those beautiful dresses. “This season I was really excited about showing color. It was all these subtle shades, but it felt right. Brides come to me and I always say, ‘It can still be your day without being in a white dress.’ I’m here to open up their minds a little bit,’ Monique Lhuillier said trying to explain the idea behind these unconventional colors used for bridal gowns.
Although, the Monique Lhuillier fall 2015 bridal fashion show was opened with a strapless mini cocktail dress followed by a tea-length duo of a full-skirt and a sleeveless top all in the dramatic Chantilly lace, the focus of the entire line was still placed on elongated silhouettes, including the traditional princess gowns and the iconic trumpet options many brides give preference to for their wedding days. Still, the former looks can also look extremely feminine and spectacular not only for wearing on your wedding day, but also for attending special parties.
The lavish use of tulle, floral appliqués, metallic beadwork, subtle draping and thin waist-enhancing thread-like belts only enhanced the drama in these looks. Still, the ionic Monique Lhuillier shapes and tailoring techniques took the center stage, tempting everyone present to get married over and over again to be able to sport each and every mesmerizing look showcased.
Beauty wise, the Monique Lhuillier bride is simplistic and elegant in the upcoming fall season, wearing sleek center-parted updos, occasionally embellished with floral crowns. A subtle makeup with warm smokey eyes only enhanced the beautiful fairy-tale atmosphere present!
