Fall’s Trend of Iconic Clothing Emblems
Today, with the society’s growing interest in everything fancy and fashionable, some of the biggest and most successful fashion houses have turned into one-of-a-kind fashion realms and empires (we are looking at you Armani). And as you have already noticed, during the recent years at fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris, world leading fashion designers, like true rulers of their realms, have started this unique trend of patching the pieces from their collections with emblems, crests and special badges. Let’s check out the coolest fall 2014 clothing pieces with emblems, shall we?
Mary Katrantzou’s Embroidered Floral Patterns
Mary Katrantzou’s new collection for the fall/winter 2014/15 season looked rather feminine and romantic with all kinds of embroidered emblems and patterns used in forms of flowers and animals patched on the front of blouses and skirts, as well as on loose sweaters. The clothing pieces demonstrated looked rather artistic and refined thanks to those attention-grabbing emblems used.
DKNY’s New York Motifs
For her DKNY fall 2014 collection, Donna Karan had decided to patch three piece suits and tweed coats with shield-shaped emblems bearing the name or just the first initial of the New York-based label.
Vfiles’ Awe-Inspiring Pin Badges
Vfiles’ new “fearful” collection had the word depicted on round badges attached to zip-up jackets, as well as in forms of embroidered cutouts adorning the chests of loose fitting, oversized jackets.
Libertine’s Over-Embellished Designs
The collection featured plaid pants that were combined with thick coats in greenish brown decorated with skulls and crossbones, as well as all sorts of street signs. Interesting and dreamy!
Trussardi’s Iconic Logo Patches
The big, embroidered emblems on Gaia Trussardi’s long-sleeves leather tops gave them rather relaxed and casual looks, and pairing the tops with pale, striped pants contributed to the effortlessness of the looks.
Undercover’s Emblem Embellished Scarfs
You sure remember Undercover’s latest collection for the fall season, don’t you? As a collection it was rather “scarfy”, and what’s more, the scarves were not simple ones, but were decorated with prints of medals and badges. Very charming and unique! In case the trend of clothing emblems seems to be overwhelming for you, this piece of accessory is the right thing to add a fashionable vibe to your monochrome looks.
Yang Li’s Elegant Emblems
The Yang Li fall 2014 collection was utterly gorgeous and elegant, and it seemed there would be no place for emblems and badges on the Chinese designer’s creations. However, the practically invisible emblems that read “dreamer” added a bit of charm and playfulness to the overall strict and refined collection.
We are not sure how long this trend of iconic clothing emblems will be in fashion for, but right now we can assuredly claim that as a trend for the fall 2014 season, it is something greatly admired by many designers for being super cool, playful and chic. So why not give it a try?
