Vivienne Westwood Red Label Spring/Summer 2015 Collection ” London Fashion Week
Every time Vivienne Westwood presents a new collection, she has a message to say on a particular cause, charity or campaign. The newest Vivienne Westwood Red Label spring/summer 2015 collection show was dedicated to the campaign supporting Scottish Independence. The famous British designer has strong hopes that Scotland will finally become an independent country. This was the message of a sizzling collection, which has just been unveiled at London Fashion Week. With its classy, feminine and elegant designs, it certainly manages to attract loads of attention to the Scottish power.
Coming to the major trends seen in the Vivienne Westwood Red Label spring/summer 2015 collection, we can mention the variety of suits styles, put as skirt suits, pants ones, ones with vintage motifs or stylish suits with modern and innovative interpretations. Matched with elegant shirts or crop tops, they all look maximum feminine and classy, ideal to be sported to office or on the days when you want to look utterly elegant. Light gray, navy blue, light chocolate, peach, brown, striped, monochrome… Options are endless and the task of making a choice is certainly difficult, as they all look chic!
After the elegant start, the show suddenly takes a flirty and playful turn, this time presenting an array of bodysuits, oversized knee-length skirts and pretty dresses in a myriad of prints, styles and colors. Stripes, polka dots and floral prints adorn these garments along with lots of ruffles. Off-the-shoulder designs, draping and delicate lace have also been used here, and there are also dresses with bow fabric belts fastened on the waists.
Although we are used to seeing one-of-a-kind and sometimes even weird designs from Vivienne Westwood, the Vivienne Westwood Red Label spring/summer 2015 collection ditches the modern punk and new wave motifs characteristic of the fashion house and brings classic styles targeting a bigger audience. Still, when it comes to the makeup choices spotted at the show, we can still note the Westwood-appropriate uniqueness: the models came out bare-faced with different colors smudged on the faces irregularly. The hair was styled completely differently, either gathered high up into knots and updos or kept loose and natural.
As far as the accessorizing options go, the looks presented came complemented with classic heeled shoes, and in some cases also with unique hats. The show was closed with maxi elegant dresses and overalls, coming either monochrome or printed with lush colorful patterns.
Whether the Vivienne Westwood Red Label spring/summer 2015 collection show has managed to somehow help the Scottish people gain independence or not we don’t know, however, we are more than sure it has already won the hearts of many fashionisers, serving as an endless source of inspiration for stand-out spring looks.
