Pretty Pastel Makeup Tutorial
Pastel makeup looks surprisingly delicate and feminine, a perfect option to wear during the daytime, at the same time being a lovely evening look, capable of highlighting the fragile nature of a woman. Pastel eyeshadows are unbelievably light, delicate and versatile, which tend to flatter almost all skin and eye tones, usually throwing off a couple of years from a woman’s age and making her look refreshed and youthful. Moreover, pastel eyeshadows make great play pairs with almost any other color, especially the darker tones of eyeshadows, creating elegant and memorable looks. Our pretty pastel makeup tutorial teaches you the art of combining delicate pastel hues with brighter tones for the most alluring outcome ever. This lovely makeup style can be a great option to try both for day and night events!
How to Do Pastel Makeup
While pastel eyeshadows combined together may sometimes look overwhelming being a cuteness overload, when you match them with neutral or brighter tones, the result is always much more pleasing. This is exactly what we have done here, picking a pastel yellow color and combining it with a matching light green tone, broken by the duo of dark burgundy and purple. Another cute way of using pastel colors for perfect eye makeup styles is doing a bird of paradise makeup look, which will perfectly highlight the beauty and sophistication of such hues.
Well, passing to this specific pastel makeup tutorial, we want to mention all the products and tools that you need to have for copying this look!
• Makeup base, foundation, concealer
• Eyebrow kit
• Eye primer and a base
• Eyeshadows in pastel yellow, green, purple and burgundy
• Turquoise eye pencil and black eyeliner
• Black mascara
• False eyelashes
• Soft pink lipstick
• Makeup brushes
Step 1: Start it all by creating a perfect base for your makeup. Apply some makeup primer and then blend the foundation using a makeup brush or a sponge. Contour your face with a blush. Don’t forget to turn to the concealer in case you have some problem areas to cover.
Step 2: Shape your eyebrows using a brow kit (ABH Dipbrow Pomade in Ebony).
Step 3: Apply an eye primer all over the lid (Too Faced Shadow Insurance). This will make your eye makeup look more flawless, as well as last longer without creasing and smudging. Then apply a base all over this for an even more long lasting effect (NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk).
Step 4: Apply a pastel yellow eyeshadow all over the lid hardly reaching the tail (Inglot #16). Over this to the center of the lid put some green pigment (Parisax star powder in Bali).
Step 5: Continue your way with a matte purple eyeshadow (Inglot #320), also blending it to the crease. Emphasize the outer corner of the eye with a dark burgundy eyeshadow flawlessly bending it with the purple color (Cherry Chocolate from Too Faced Chocolate bar).
Step 6: Apply a turquoise eye pencil to the lower lid and blend it with a brush (Inglot #43).
Step 7: Apply black eyeliner on your upper lid as close to the lash line as possible (AMC Eyeliner Gel #77). Next, apply black mascara and go for false eyelashes if you are planning to wear this look to a party (House of Lashes Pixie Luxe). Otherwise, leaving your lashes more natural is more recommended.
Step 8: To balance your look, pick a nude lipstick, like this soft pink hue (Flormar R050).
This is just one cute way of wearing pastel makeup, however options are endless just like the possible color combinations. So give freedom to your creativity and do it the way you like, not forgetting to share your final looks with us!
