Jean Paul Gaultier Fall/Winter 2014-2015 Collection – Paris Fashion Week
Extravagant means ultra-chic once more, as here comes the totally mind-blowing Jean Paul Gaultier fall/winter 2014-2015 collection unveiled for Paris Fashion Week and presenting the best modern fantasy we could ever think of! The incredible design solutions have been matched with the even more ineffable color patterns and finished off with the luxury of the details, like hairstyles and makeup, not forgetting about the accessories, either. So it’s quite hard to define this collection with one word only, since everything from the garments to the interesting green background enhanced the astounding effect of the show.
The Jean Paul Gaultier fall/winter 2014-2015 collection show was opened with an all-grey look, coming as a jumpsuit accompanied with a tiny green belt and black stiletto heels for the final touch. The curious interpretations involving khaki brown thigh-high boots and interesting shimmery textures for shorts and top are also noteworthy. The very spectacular shapes we see further are something we’ve never seen before! Looking at the models we have an impression like they’re astronauts! This effect has been reached with the help of shimmery sporty pants and jackets, having grey scarf accompanying them.
The most elegant looks were put as body-con floor length options, coming matched with the elbow long gloves and super extravagant hoodies made with the most incredible textures and shapes possible! The glittery and furry details only enhance the wonderful effect that these “alien’ images create. So does the color palette later, encompassing such shades as the orange and red, black and white for checks.
Punk-inspired mohawk hairstyle seen with many of the looks is another thematic concentration. The shift from wide-leg to skinny and monochrome to stripy is also well noticeable as the show progresses. The delicate transparency plays and the monochrome looks put with shades like navy blue also matter in the overall diversity. So do the colorful prints and the ones carrying hints of the British flag.
So these were the components of the Jean Paul Gaultier fall/winter 2014-2015 collection extravaganza this time, and as usual, we are amazed with the flight of imagination and great sophisticated work we saw. This collection is not only meant to come with just something new, it’s about showing what happens when fashion becomes an abstract flow of art!
