Spring 2014 Haute Couture Beauty Trends
Haute Couture Fashion Week is one of the most spectacular and attention-gathering events in the world of fashion. It is one of the most important trend-setting occasions, as well as a super suitable source of inspiration for creating top innovative and at the same time, equally chic looks. The fashion trends we observed during this year’s couture fashion week are also quite noteworthy, and here we are going to present the main spring 2014 Haute Couture beauty trends straight from Paris!
Spring 2014 Haute Couture Beauty Trend #1: Ethereal and Everlasting Smokey Eyes
This is one of the most popular and never fading options for just any season and collection. Probably it’s because of the uber-impressive effect that this type of eye makeup creates that the fashion designers and stylists never leave them out of the list for any show. This season it was not an exception, either, as we saw the flabbergasting looks by Armani Privé, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Stephane Roland. Ulyana Sergeenko and Zuhair Murad presented some lighter forms of smokey eye makeup this time, mainly putting the accents on the corners of the eyes.
Spring 2014 Haute Couture Beauty Trend #2: Bold and Bright Lips
This is the next amazing trend we saw during the fashion shows and loved absolutely. The striking and catchy bright lipstick used by many of the fashion houses contributed to the creation and complementation of the chic and glamour of the garments the models had on. The most vivid examples may be taken from the shows of Alexandre Vauthier, Christian Dior, and again Jean Paul Gaultier and Stephane Rolland. The interesting tone of coral presenting a more muted shade was the hit of the latter. Also we can mention the super extravagant option by Maison Anoufa, which presented a centralized bright red for the lips accompanied with lighter tones for the corners.
Spring 2014 Haute Couture Beauty Trend #3: Blue and Silver for the Eyes
Another interesting trend observed recently is the application of blue and silver tones for the upper and lower lids, often finished off with the smokey effect we mentioned above. However, sometimes they just came as nice counterbalances for the other shades like bronze and white, and it did look effective. The best examples are Chanel, Armani Privé, Atelier Versace, Elie Saab, Alexis Mabille, On Aura Tout Vu, and Jean Paul Gaultier.
Spring 2014 Haute Couture Beauty Trend #4: Eye Arrows
Creating arrows on the corners of the eyes is just as popular as the smokey effect, forming another interesting trend you can opt for, too. The top successful looks have been seen during the shows of Giambattista Valli, Frank Sorbier, Jean Paul Gaultier (where a nice combo of smokey eye makeup and arrows was used), and Oscar Carvallo.
Spring 2014 Haute Couture Beauty Trend #5: Natural Makeup
The final trend we should talk about is the natural makeup seen very frequently during the shows, which mainly consisted of natural shades for lips, and the cheeks, and minimum catchy details for the eyes. The best of such looks are by Ralph & Russo, Vionnet, Valentino, and Zuhair Murad, in case of which there was just a little of smokey effect for the eyes, but the cheeks and the lips remained natural for the sweet look.
So here were the main spring 2014 Haute Couture beauty trends we observed during the recent Paris Couture Fashion Week 2014, which proved to be a great source of finding some creative and trendy suggestions for the coming season we are looking forward to so impatiently.
