Acne Studios Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – Paris Fashion Week
Loose and relaxed silhouettes and the similar attitudes created by them are the cornerstone of the Acne Studios spring/summer 2014 collection showcased during Paris Fashion Week. The worriless and joyful teenage behavior is simply imprinted on those cool and spectacular shapes. The designer of this line, Jonny Johansson didn’t waste his efforts and time in vain and created a very eye-catching and intriguing line.
The first thing we notice in the outfits of the Acne Studios spring/summer 2014 collection is the wide belt used with many of the shirt-shorts and top-pants combinations. The main shapes are not rare or explicitly different from the traditionally created and noticed presentations. However, there is one distinguishing aspect about them. It’s the languid and free fa‚Äö√†√∂‚àö√ºon of the pieces and the interestingly chosen pairs of them.
Thus, among the pieces we encounter a widespread motive of cuffed and cropped elements especially used with sleeves of the tops, pants, and shorts, why not. The only bandeau resembling implication was created with a combo of a jacket and loose pants. The unbuttoned shirt was the best exemplification of the philosophy attached to the collection. A jacket with an excessive number of buttons was like a vivid example of how well they go when unbuttoned.
The one-shoulder pieces were probably the only reminders of feminine and cute looks somehow preserved in this teenage-inspired collection. The intriguing prints of some garments were highlighted by the interesting color plays. Talking about the sporty and youthful style, we can’t but expect the jumpsuits to appear on the runway sooner or later. So our expectations turn out to be true, introduced by supercool jumpsuit pieces. The suit-pants compositions are also here to create some manly effect at the same time gifting the line with a touch of chic as well.
Thus, the Acne Studios spring/summer 2014 collection is a loud cry of independence and revolting philosophy of the youngsters. We are young, we are free and we are here!
