Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2014 RTW ” New York Fashion Week
The Michael Kors spring/summer 2014 collection brought an air of retro beauty and summer romance to the runway of New York Fashion Week through an array of forties and seventies inspired charming looks with a softer attitude, with a harmonious blend between sportif and elegant vibes. “I got intrigued by the idea of convergence,’ the designer said. “Forties and Seventies. Romantic but tailored. Casual but polished. All that yin and yang.’ And yes, these bewitching Michael Kors clothing pieces represent a stunning mixture of juxtaposing styles, polished, classy and undeniably chic!
The show at Michael Kors started with a line of sophisticated, white looks, demonstrated by male-and-female model couples, and that moment you could realize the designer’s message: mixing feminine and masculine trends and creating the impeccable. Even if there were masculine touches used in the women’s clothing, they were incredibly delicate and feminine and nothing made these looks strict or overly androgynous. Perfectly tailored short and skirt suits, floral printed full skirt dresses and classy pencil skirts, to-die-for coats, trenches, jackets and blazers made the opening of the Michael Kors spring/summer 2014 rtw show simply breathtaking! Then, there came out the fab blue shirts matched with short shorts and fur scarves, the knitted dresses, skirts and puffy jackets, which at times flashed some skin, yet never looked vulgar!
You could notice fairly diverse influences in the Michael Kors spring/summer 2014 collection, from the designer’s favorite sporty motives mixed with feminine vibes to the old faithful retro blending masculine grace and ladylike elegance. The mainstream shades of the collection brought fabulous brown and khaki touches, plenty of moss green, goldenrod yellow, gray, white and blue tones. The color palette didn’t speak spring that much, but who said that spring is only about vibrant shades and delicate pastels? Romantic floral motifs, small polka dots and snakeskin effects, as well as soft transparencies are other details that make the new Michael Kors spring 2014 line that undeniably gorgeous! Another detail used a lot was the belt that came either thin or thick to lay the accent on the graceful waist of the woman.
As the show started to develop, the Michael Kors spring 2014 collection showed lots of cute pin-up style bandeau tops matched with high-waisted shorts or printed pencil skirts, flowing masculine-style trousers matched with shirts, and-crocheted cardigans, tea dresses and a number of elegant gowns. It couldn’t be more wearable and fashionable, and you can be sure of one thing ” the Michael Kors spring/summer 2014 collection is going to be a winning source of inspiration for absolutely sizzling spring looks this year!
