Opening Ceremony Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – New York Fashion Week
Fashionisers have probably waited for this amazing show since it ended last year at New York Fashion Week. The Opening Ceremony spring/summer 2014 collection was as astonishing, creative, luxurious and splendidly fancy as never before. The area, where the famous duo of Humberto Leon and Carol Lim chose for their runway show was enormously big, yet it didn’t lack famous audience, outstanding celebrities and journalists. Some names as Rihanna and Justin Bieber are just enough to show the magnitude of the biggest event of the year in the fashion industry.
The Opening Ceremony spring/summer 2014 RTW show was just lavish, deluxe and promising. 18 luxury cars brought up the stunning models, and made you feel in a very expensive Hollywood movie. The collection itself was less luxurious and cozy as it was seen. The mixture of the traditional Korean teenage details spiced up with the everyday New York street life gave the impression of people hurrying to work or trying to manage to get a cup of coffee for lunch.
The main colors of the Opening Ceremony spring/summer 2014 collection were blue, red, black and white. The designers used the blue color especially for blouses, though you could see plain blue dresses as well. The tops usually matched the skirts or shorts, or a bag was added to the looks to create a nice combination of matching colors. Black was used mostly for tops and for creating belt-like shapes to soften the striking tints of some colors.
As some of the looks showed, the oversized baji-pants will be very trendy for the coming spring. They give you the look of an eternal tourist wandering about to find good deals.
With the mentioned new Opening Ceremony looks you probably won’t be able show up in a formal meeting or an official date, but you will surely be enough comfortable to run to the store and get some snacks. The look will also be just perfect to go for a walk in the night city with your beloved one.
