Rachel Roy Spring/Summer 2014 RTW ” New York Fashion Week
The Rachel Roy spring/summer 2014 collection brought elegance, femininity and minimalism to the second day of New York Fashion Week. The designer of the brand played with the wings symbol of Rachel Roy for spring 2014, which came either printed or laser cut on those perfectly tailored dresses featuring novelty fabrics. This is definitely one of the most wearable and smart lines unveiled during NYFW this year so far!
Cream, white and navy blue hues represent the core colors of the Rachel Roy spring/summer 2014 collection, and if you are seeking for brighter options, think sun-kissed orangy yellows. As far as the trendy patterns go, the line brings not only wing motifs, but also feather accents and wild snakeskins that most fashionisers love so much. Part of the clothing pieces shown came simple and clean, while a majority line was printed, embroidered or laser-cut in a form of wings or feathers.
Kind of a retro vibe mixed with subtle baroque motifs comes out from the Rachel Roy spring/summer 2014 collection. This is in the prints and patterns, the delicate embroidery applied and the strong lines. Key pieces in the collection included denim pencil skirts embroidered with bird wings, slim jeans with the same motif, knit pullovers with feather accents that looked so ideal in combination with embroidered pencil skirts. If you want to show off your wild side, opt for one of those zebra printed shift dresses and the snakeskin patterned jumpsuits featuring a well-highlighted back part.
Most of the Rachel Roy spring/summer 2014 collection was sophisticated and understated, among such pieces being the tailored shorts, suits, the masculine shirts and the flared trousers. Despite the fact that the Rachel Roy spring/summer 2014 collection didn’t bring anything outwordly and extraordinary for the upcoming bright seasons, it still kept to be one of the most loveable spring 2014 fashion collections!
